The outside of this food truck looked skeptical, but I was in a rush in traffic and wanted a quick bit to eat... luckily, the service was fast, and my expectations were low with the look of the place.. but i thought, why not. The bowl I ordered was delicious. I added the hotsauce, mixed it all together, and chowed down. I would return.

Deceptive and low quality. I don’t understand how any reasonable establishment can mess up three delivery orders/reorders. I had to replace an order two times and the third delivery from “HALAL GYRO SHAWARMA” was still INCORRECT. I just ordered a Falafel Plate over Rice and they sent all sorts of meat and even a wrap with meat in it! This “Sarah’s On The Road” establishment runs many ghost restaurants titles online including “Zara on the road (owned by chef’s)”, “Pangea Banquet Mediterranean Food”, “Mediterranea Rice Bowls”, and “HALAL GYRO SHAWARMA”, and most likely more! If you order from any of those places on delivery apps like Doordash and Ubereats, you will receive such a low quality meal that will most likely be incorrect. Stop using different photos for each of those different restaurant titles and serve the same food. This is false advertising with the actual portion, quality, and placement you receive. There are many other higher quality, honest halal/gyro places out there in Austin! Please avoid this place at all costs.

Picked up some food last night, and the falafel was sour, so freaking disgusting! Ordered a chicken Shawarma wrap and instead got a chicken plate, the chicken was OK but the rice was nasty. ordered a falafel plate, but tossed it in the garbage since the falafel was rotten. They really need to up the checks on food quality. Selling sour falafel is not OK.

Made an order here with my team of 1st responders after helping a patient out. Myself & the team all ordered different items but they all the orders came out VERY greasy & some of the items didn't even look like the pictures compared to what we got. The name of this place was actually hidden on Doordash & was labeled as Halal Bros which was really deceptive. Very disappointed. Especially since some of the reviews spoke highly of this place. But its a good thing to find places like this so we can tell our family & friends to not bother coming here. We had no bias & were super pumped (as well as starving lol) but to our extreme dissapoinent, the food was nothing like we thought. If they change their menu to reflect what the food actually looks like realistically & focuses on fresh ingredients we may change our minds but for now, we will avoid this place like the plague.It’s never fun posting reviews like this but when the food quality suffers, there’s no reason to come eat at a place where we spend our hard earned money especially when we are out with friends/family.
If you order food togo here you should expected extra 40 mins wait. Even I order since early morning when I came nothing is done. The worker was just standing there, doing nothing and not even start until I tell

I was a huge fan of halal bros back in 2017, fast foward 2022 I found Sarah’s on the road and it is THE BEST!!! Sooo good!! My job ordered halal bros and it was not it… I was like “we should’ve got Sarah’s on the road” edit: their beef shawarma is not it, don’t get that- only chicken soooo good!!
