We stopped by for a burger and beer before the Pixies concert. Heard Pixies music as we ate which was a surprise bonus. Food and good and beer was cold.

The beer and food we had was very good. The pretzel 🥨 reminded me of some we had in Barvaria only better. Cool old bar vibe.

We were at the Texas Bullock Museum and got a bit peckish. Around the corner (walking distance) is Scholz Garden. This is a very German pub that has been around for over 100 years. We only had the smoked/ fried wings which were amazing but we will be back to try their German plates. Omg they looked great! Service was friendly and sweet. Ambiance was really great with music not to loud and TVs for game days. Great Austin Pub!!

They had a limited menu tonight so that was a bummer but what we got was very good. I want to go back for the full menu!

Game day drink lines are so long but it was a great venue to watch the Longhorns. So much fun and tv’s and screens everywhere! Great for all ages.

This is my favorite place to eat in Austin because everything on the menu is delicious! The chicken sandwich truly is incredible. The giant pretzel is a must-order and really does serve 3-4 people. The waffle fries are crispy and great. This place has such friendly staff and great local vibes (since the 1860s)! Also, the pricing is great and everything is affordable. I can’t recommend any place more than this one! Thank you for the best times, Scholz Garten!

Service was not as we’re used to in the US but maybe it was because it was rush hour for them. The atmosphere was great being the oldest beergarten in Austin. People in the place were nice and we had a good time.

Nice outdoor dining area serving German food from a large pretzel with great pairing of dips, perhaps the best Ruben sandwich and cant go wrong with the Jagerschnitzel.

If your in the area, stop by. The large pretzels were great. Sweet tea was just right. Zero things to complain about.
