Awesome menu with solid traditional items and a ton of fusion items all inside the really cool environment of this old school Austin staple.

Came for happy hour. Had a beer and a Cherry limeade cocktail. Drinks were great. The stars of the show were the appetizers. We shared a personal pretzel that came with a mustard, a fantastic garlic butter, and a beer cheese. This was fantastic. The Reuben waffle fries were delectable and great for sharing with the table. Would come again!

Wow! I'm sure this was a bit of an anomaly because it's over winter break. So close to UT campus and the Capitol. Everybody was amazing and no crowd (which is unusual).

Your experience at Sholz depends on UT Football. High energy spot for pre-game and game watch with limited menu options and walk up service to accommodate large crowds. Game day experience is fantastic -- large crowds in the Bier Garten makes Sholz a must. Non-game day visit yields access to a great menu (try the Rueben and pretzel) and fantastic service.

This place is awesome. Great drinks, and absolutely fantastic food. The staff is always extremely friendly, providing good suggestions when asked. The only negative is the parking, it's not terrible but it's also not good. Be prepared to pay to park on the street

the three wurst on the wurst board were so overcooked, dry, hard and taste all the same - tasteless. perhaps they were already cooked and left in a warmer. The pretzel bread was excellent and fresh. The wienerschnitzel was good, but my goodness, it was paper thin, I couldn’t taste the veal. Spaetzle, they were limb and soggy, tasted like they have boiled the noodles earlier then just pan fried to heat it up.

For a restaurant that’s been there for over 100 years, they don’t have any pride in their heritage. Perhaps because the Restaurant is big, they have shortcut all their dishes. great displays but no substance.

Always has and will always be a great spot for any type of experience. Singles, doubles, even familias as well. Love the environment and energy the vibe provides as well as the delicious food. Many, many thanks.
