I ate there Friday. The food was amazing. The chicken wings were the best I've ever had. The pork fried rice was great and the service was amazing. The lady was so nice and kind.

I have picked up food from here twice. the place is really sketchy looking - like the stop light with the electric wire coming out of a downspout from the roof gutter. But you are not here to read about the architecture. I have had the coconut chick soup twice & it is absolutely delicious. the hot & sour soup is an inedible salt bomb. The duck with veggies was great it comes with a chicken wing & a small soup, the dish had lots of duck for 12.50. both duck dishes are really good.

I picked up my food through the drive through and was greeted very nicely by a polite elderly woman. I ordered hot and sour soup which was excellent, very authentic, and pork lo mein. The portion was generous and the pork was tender and tasty. I highly recommend visiting this little gem.

i ordered fried wonton expecting filling because there was no disclaimer on the app, there was no information provided by the person who took my order to avoid any of this! i had to receive a call from the manager once i told her the issue, she said thats why he asked fried or steamed! he never said if i get fried there would be no filling! disgusting service, terrible experience! will not be spending my money here!

Order our food for delivery and got it all fine and well. Started eating and it wasn’t good at all. They must have used a half a cup of salt because the food was unbearable. Soon getting to the bottom of my lo mien I found a horse fly.

Sesame Hill has been my go-to chinese delivery for years. Very friendly and the food is always good. General Tso, crab puff with homemade hot mustard, Kung Pao Chicken are always good.

I can’t say enough good things about Sesame Hill. It’s a small little Chinese food place owned by a sweet older woman and the food is absolutely delicious.
Eating inside is an awesome experience, because the dining room is a quaint little thing, they got classical CDs playing on a CD player, and you get to talk to the owner.
The food is insane. Get the dinner combo every time. Their chicken wing that comes with it will be the best damn chicken wing you’ve ever eaten. The portion sizes are great too, not once have I been able to finish all my food, and I’m a big guy.
THIS PLACE ABSOLUTELY NEEDS MORE EXPOSURE
I only lived in Austin for a year, but Sesame Hill is gonna be a go-to stop every time I’m in town. It’ll easily be that “hole in the wall” spot for you too as it was for me

I don't get the reviews that call this place flavorless or bad, this is genuinely the best chinese food in Austin. It's delicious, well seasoned, and the sauces are to die for.
