My family and I moved to Austin not too long ago and one of the first places we felt at home and welcomed was this Shipley's location. My 4 year old chatty, curly haired son formed a bond with Mia (I believe this is her name) immediately. Because of this, Shipley's is forever our donut place. The food is always great, the seating area is always clean and I always know that were going to get treated with a smile. I cannot thank this place enough for all their kindness to my family. My son literally calls Mia "his friend" and at home, he will take small amazon boxes we have discarded and will play Shipley's, going through the motions of getting everyone their pretend donuts and coffee. Mia always goes out of her way to make my son feel special and it absolutely shows. Any time we wake up on the weekend and I say "Do you guys want to get breakfast?" he runs and gets his shoes and says "Yeah, lets go! I wanna see my friend!" even if that's not where we are going. As a parent, I can't say how good it makes me feel to see someone have an impact like that on my child. Good vibes all around! Thank you so much for all you do and all of the times you've made our boys day. Hope we see you again soon!

I love the sausage, cheese and jalapeño kolache and if I'm lucky enough to be there when the donuts are hot, I'm in heaven!

I'm a regular at this location most Sunday afternoons and the staff are always nice and attentive with lovely smiles! I'm a big fan of the new breakfast sandwiches they recently introduced and always get two each time I visit along with a chocolate twist. Everything always tastes fresh and the bread is soft and warm. Love this place!

I have loved Shipley’s donuts since I was a kid. Living in Wells Branch, it is nice to have a Shipley’s closer by to carry on this (mostly) weekly tradition. Mia, Cao, Irene, and Ingrid always great me with smiles, remember our usual order, and ask about the family. My son loves eating the Big Earl sausage kolaches throughout the week. Both kids enjoy bullseyes on birthdays. This Shipley’s is one of our favorite quick breakfast spots. We appreciate everyone at this store and the consistent deliciousness! Thanks!
Parking: Although there are spots marked for Shipley’s take-out, on weekends, many of these spots are often taken by diners at The Pancake House at the other end of the strip mall. Who wants pancakes when you have such a wonderful variety of donuts? ;)

Extremely disappointed. I have been going to Shipley’s for over 60 years. How do you not have fresh hot glazed donuts at 6am? The donuts were like the end of the day donuts. I have looked at the reviews for this location and they seem to be on a downward spiral. When I called they said I had the wrong location. No I did not it’s only 5 minutes from my house. But it was a good try. Definitely not keeping up with the Shipley family tradition.

Asked for hot glaze, they didn’t have them (9:30 am) got “bold” kolaches both were hard … when I went back they also showed me cheese that you can barely see.I was given two other smaller fresher kolaches. Maybe earlier in the day is better - I’ll likely try another location or check order before leaving.PREVIOUS 4 STAR REVIEWWent in and out for a quick trip, the staff is helpful and friendly.Ask for "hot glaze" when you drop by, they are so soft and fresh... you can't taste the sugar/glaze in your donut.Great for a quick stop or picking up for the team.Will be coming back to this location for sure.
