I saw The Shore on my Google map and clicked on the link. I saw their Happy Hour Menu and noticed they had 1/2 price Oysters and several other choices. We decided to stop there on our way back home. We got there at 3:30 and found that they would not open until 4 pm due to an earlier water leak. We asked if we could just sit at the bar until they opened because we really wanted to have oysters for our anniversary. The manager said since we were wanting oysters we could sit at the bar and get drinks and the oysters. Chef Cody explained all the different oysters offered and we decided to let him choose the oysters and we were not disappointed . He chose the gulf coast, summer time, Black moon and pink moon. All the options were fresh tasting with just a touch of saltiness . We also had the mussels with fries. We have not had mussels this good in a very long time. the broth was thick with butter, wine and capers. The grilled ciabatta bread was so buttery and crispy we ordered additional pieces. The calamari was lightly breaded rings and tentacles and were heavenly. We also tried the Hi Mexican Lager on tap, it was light and smooth. Our bartender was very sweet and helpful with our choices. We also would like to thank the manager who being so accommodating to us and making our 42nd anniversary so special. We will definitely stop there again!!!!!
Overall quite good, there were a few misses (fried fish on the fried platter was 50% breading... Not a great ratio, and some of the crab cargot was very very fishy tasting), but overall we had a great time and three simpler dishes (po boy, fish tacos, fried green tomatoes) were lovely!

Holy schnikes!!! I've been searching for a decent shrimp po-boy in Austin for a long time and this place delivers!!! Being from the New Orleans area I know a good one versus a bad one and they do it very well here. The lobster roll is also phenomenal ! ?

Two words! Lobster roll! Ethan behind bar for lunch recommends the best oysters from their extensive and constantly updated oyster selection. Pricy but so so worth it!

Shore Raw Bar & Grill in Austin, TX, has a laid-back vibe with a menu that boasts fresh, high-quality offerings. As soon as you step inside, the New Orleans-style decor sets a relaxed tone, making it an inviting spot for casual diners and special occasions.
Undoubtedly, the raw bar, featuring a variety of oysters, a major weakness for me, changes daily, ensuring freshness and seasonality. I usually pair this with a Vodka martini, I ask for the blue cheese olives in mine, which the bartenders make more than competently. The selection is impressive, and each oyster is beautifully presented, allowing you to savor the unique flavors from different regions. If something other than raw seafood isn't your preference, the grilled options, like the shrimp and grits or the fish tacos, are equally delightful, showcasing the chef's talent for highlighting fresh ingredients.
Service is friendly and attentive, with staff eager to recommend pairings from an extensive wine and cocktail list. Happy hour is a must-try, offering great deals on both food and drinks.
Overall, Shore Raw Bar & Grill combines quality seafood, a vibrant atmosphere, and excellent service, making it a standout destination in Austin’s bustling culinary scene. Whether you’re an oyster aficionado or just looking for a great meal, this spot will impress.

Kids macaroni was so bad the kids refused to eat it. Paid far too much for a ruined dinner.

Food was great. Service great. I do not like anyone adding a gratuity, I will take care of this my self.

Really disappointed in the food on Friday night. We ordered a seafood tower and the crab was fishy and chewy. Oysters had sand in them and the crackers we stale. Waitress was rude when we mentioned that we were not pleased after she asked. Great vibe, good crowd - super disappointing food and service.

I loved Shore, very expensive entrees but they are large, unlike all the expensive small plate BS that has taken over the Austin food scene. We walked in without a reservation and were sat promptly. They had a large selection of east coast oysters and they were divine. We also ordered crab fingers and calamari, the weekend special, the Blackened Redfish, the Seafood Duo, and the Mussels and Halibut and all were excellent. Service was excellent with much attention to detail, had many cocktails and as soon as someone would finish their drink our server would be there instantly to offer another, like he teleported, and he kept our table looking pristine even though we had ordered a ton of food.

Excitement turned to disappointment. Grilled oysters were nickel size, not grilled just heated, seafood & chicken gumbo reaux tasteless & 2 raw shrimp, 1 crab claw is NOT a gumbo. Fried shrimp & fish were NOT cajun but California. It's an insult to say food is Cajun when it's not. Wine was delicious. Service great
We won't return or recommend. We don't mind $500 bill for good food, this was not. Hate to be so blunt, but maybe they need to know.
