Shore Raw Bar & Grill

Unfortunately, I must report a negative experience with Shore Raw Bar & Grill in Austin. Although I cancelled our Father's Day reservation 25 hours in advance, they charged my credit card $350 without prior notice. I have documentation confirming the cancellation. When I contacted Shore to dispute the charge, the manager cited a 72-hour cancellation requirement, which I believe is excessive. I have never heard of a restaurant requiring a 3 day cancelation policy. People get sick and life happens. This incident has raised concerns regarding their customer service practices and I would recommend avoiding reservations, particularly those made with a credit card. I’m so bummed because we loved this restaurant, but we will never eat there again. 😞

Breakfast tacos! And coffee

Decided to stop here after visiting the Austin zoo with my family. The food was absolutely amazing and the mock tails are spot on. Lobster rolls on point. Coming back for Mother’s Day.

Visiting from Fla. we wanted some fresh oysters, everything was GREAT. Our waiter was Cory. Cory was the best, very knowledgeable and efficient. Service was exceptional. Great waiter!! Our visit was on 5/8/25. We left him a generous tip, because of the excellent service he gave us.

Awesome place for fresh seafood and steaks. Great bartenders and drinks too. We go frequently for happy hour and sit at bar. All the raw and cooked seafood is always fresh. Highly recommend.

Grabbed a coffee and breakfast taco here. Almost $5 for mediocre taco at best is wild. It was falling apart as I was trying to eat it l. And a small coffee for over $3.

If you love sea food must go!
Limited options other than sea food.
Service was great.
Atmosphere / ambiance thumbs up.
Cost is a bit higher than expected.
Live music, bar and indoor/ outdoor options for eating.

Never mess with food and drinks, the happy hour is absolutely fantastic. The only downside is that I leave there every time trying to figure out how we ate three dozen oysters...

Wow .. I was really looking forward to trying the place. My husband and I made a proper reservation, showed up right on time to only encounter a horribly snotty hostess. The moment we checked in she was rude. I asked her if everything was ok because she was being so rude and she legit said “I could say the same about you” I was shocked and so was my husband so we proceeded to leave. I asked to speak to the manager and he was beyond passive and didn’t seem to want to reprimand the hostess for her bad attitude. Won’t be back and wow have I ever experienced that sort of customer service right out of the gate.

Simply the best. Better than all the rest.

First time visiting this restaurant and I had the soup and salad. The server made a recommendation and told me to get etoufee over the seafood gumbo. Luckily, I did. My partner had the gumbo and I didn't care for it. He said the shrimp po boy was excellent and he liked the gumbo. It was a bit too salty for me. Overall, I would definitely come back for their lunch.

Eating outside was delightful and the chef attended to our dietary restrictions.

Gin & Tonic with Monkey 47 is a must!

I keep coming here and hoping for more cheerful service but it's been 4 years of what seems like really unhappy bartenders. I love dining at the bar at restaurants but I have never felt kindness or joy from any bartender here and I'm curious why.

Our server was Mario and he was really good. He described the dishes well and was able to answer all of our questions and made great recommendations.The manager, Stephania, came over to the table and was very engaging. The Texas Longhorns were playing in the first game of March Madness, and she found the game and put it on the tv closest to us. That was extremely accommodating and greatly appreciated.We will definitely be back - great food and great service!
