I saw The Shore on my Google map and clicked on the link. I saw their Happy Hour Menu and noticed they had 1/2 price Oysters and several other choices. We decided to stop there on our way back home.
We got there at 3:30 and found that they would not open until 4 pm due to an earlier water leak. We asked if we could just sit at the bar until they opened because we really wanted to have oysters for our anniversary. The manager said since we were wanting oysters we could sit at...
Overall quite good, there were a few misses (fried fish on the fried platter was 50% breading... Not a great ratio, and some of the crab cargot was very very fishy tasting), but overall we had a great time and three simpler dishes (po boy, fish tacos, fried green tomatoes) were lovely!
Holy schnikes!!! I've been searching for a decent shrimp po-boy in Austin for a long time and this place delivers!!! Being from the New Orleans area I know a good one versus a bad one and they do it very well here. The lobster roll is also phenomenal ! ?
