Its bar food & the food could have been handled differently. Its a hipster hangout bar. So if you're looking to eat there be prepared to have a tiny appetite. Staff lovely, drinks could be better, & portions were poor from the prices.

Sign Bar, Austin – Where Retired Road Signs Go to Party
If the Island of Misfit Toys had a hard-drinking cousin who never grew up and still wears neon leg warmers to brunch, it’d be Sign Bar. This is where signs go to die — and then immediately rise from the grave to dance on the bar top.
Walking in feels like stumbling into a vintage fever dream after accidentally licking a 9-volt battery: every inch of wall, ceiling, and cranny is plastered with relics from roadside Americana. Stop signs flirt with beer ads from the ’70s. Neon arrows point to nowhere. A speed limit sign from 1984 probably saw more action than your Tinder profile. It’s not decor — it’s a full-blown sensory circus.
The vibe outside is just as delightfully unhinged. Acres of patio seating sprawl beneath the glow of retro signage, with tucked-away shady corners for introverts and foosball tables for people who still use the word “gnarly.” Mister fans do their noble best against the Texas sun, and yard games keep things rowdy enough that someone’s inevitably going to argue over cornhole like it’s the Olympics.
We swung by in October and dove headfirst into their Halloween cocktail lineup — colorful, cheeky, and a tad too sweet for my taste (think “liquid Jolly Rancher” meets “Frankenstein’s happy hour”). But let’s be honest, we weren’t here for a sommelier experience; we were here for the spectacle. And the bartender, bless his bubbly little heart, was as charming and attentive as a golden retriever with a cocktail shaker.
Next time, I’m coming back after dark. Word is, when all the signs light up, you can probably spot this joint from the International Space Station. And if that’s not a five-star endorsement, I don’t know what is.

It was a 45 minute drive from Round Rock. I'm glad I went. The service is excellent. The employees and fellow patrons have the typical inclusive Austin vibe. It's inconvenient for me. But I recommend it if you've never been and if you live in central or south Austin and haven't been there yet.

12 months ago this place was great. Good food, reasonable drinks. Today the ‘burger’ was some kind of overdone trash pork, absolutely horrible. The shoestring fries were no better than if they were from a can. Something like $15 for a maybe 8oz frozen margarita ? Good servers and atmosphere but wow has this gone downhill

Restaurantji Recommends
No rating for food, as we only had a couple beers, but the aromas were great! Fun hang, 10/10 would recommend

Very cool place, loved the signs. I drove from San Antonio to try this place out and got there around 3pm. The information I found did not have any hours for the food truck, and maybe I shouldn't have assumed the food trucks would actually be open. We wanted to have a late lunch and enjoy the signs, but only one restaurant was open. It would be great to have some hours that let you know when the food trucks open.
signs are awesome. been here a few times.
this last visit the bartenders were busy talking and stocking. had to waive them down multiple times to get an order. was like an old town bartender where only the regulars were served.
terrible service.

Great bar just outside Austin. The staff and the waitress are really welcoming and nice; she gave great beer recommendations.
The place is really good-looking with a lot of retro and vintage signs of different sorts.
Definitely a place to stop by if you are driving around Austin, Texas.
