Slab BBQ was the highlight of our experience in Austin! The service was incredible, the hospitality was unmatched. The el Jefe sandwich and McDowell sandwiches were incredible, and don’t even get me started on the banana pudding!!! We will recommend to everyone we know visiting Austin!

This place has potential but unfortunately the food is cold, not fresh. If you do a sandwich maybe it's okay. But if you do single plated items, you're in for disappointment. It just taste reheated. The workers were very nice tho.

This place is delicious! I love coming here to share a giant plate of nachos. The portion sizes are huge, but so good. We can feed 2 adults with drinks for $30.
Today I knocked over a cup of bbq sauce and I didn't even have a chance to place a napkin on it when a guy came out of absolutely no where telling us very nicely to not worry and he cleaned it up. He then fixed the wobbly table and checked on us and others during our meal.

I come here rarely due to how expensive it is. $18 for one sandwiche. Came today and the El Jefe had a huge piece of fat in it. Like a quarter of the meat, or the equivalent of $4.50 worth. Going to give them one more shot. I hope this was just a one off, but it was massively disappointing since it is such a rare occurrence to go.
