I booked at this Embassy Suites because it had a high customer rating, it was in close proximity to the Austin Convention Center and other venues I would be visiting for my stay for Afrotech 2023. From the moment I walked into the front doors, it felt welcoming, as John D. was there to greet me with smiles and welcoming, fun comments! I honestly thought Hilton brands had gone down before this hotel. Literally not one complaint. The evening reception area was so nice. The breakfast was awesome. But the employees really make this place great. Every single person we encountered was so nice and helpful. It was crazy. Top notch. Room is exactly what you expected. Temperature was perfect. Would definitely stay again.
A very high priced, very tired property in an unbeatable location. Walk across the street to the Congress Avenue Bride and path along the river. Short walk to the Capitol and nightlife. Room had some issues, see photos. Front desk was friendly and did their best. Ditto bar/restaurant staff. Parking lot not attached to the building. Better off finding a spot on the street. The location is the draw here, and yes we'd stay again, when rooms are on sale.
