Some sonics are pretty good but this one in austin just needs more ppl or something cause it took 25+ min just for a drink even after I ordered it online. I guess the drivethru might be faster.

I’ve had the pleasure to go through the drive thru twice recently, and both times Chrissy has taken my order, over the speaker. Both times has been the best customer service and professionalism I’ve had in a long time, says please and thank you and even went above and beyond, it’s hard to find great customer service these days but the only reason I would come back to this location is because of Chrissy .

I am absolutely speechless by an incredible act of righteousness that I just experienced. I left my phone at the bus stop outside Sonic and was devastated when I realized it was missing. I hurried back to the bus stop, fully expecting the worst in a busy neighborhood filled with people. To my amazement, a Sonic employee, who had just finished a long shift and was waiting for his bus home, was there waiting for me. He held my phone out with a smile when I told him it was mine.
I was truly impressed by his honesty and integrity. This young man defies stereotypes and statistics, and I have no doubt that his character will take him far in life. Though I don’t know his name, I hope the manager sees this and recognizes what a remarkable employee they have. He is a slim black man with long hair and a goatee, and I believe he works during the day. He deserves recognition and perhaps even a promotion for his admirable actions. This experience has restored my faith in humanity!

I've been here for more than an hour waiting for my order which is the churro shake and the free hamburger from the app. This is unacceptable. And to top it off the employees are just sitting around doing absolutely nothing but playing on their phone. If this is the type of work environment that's here at Sonic then there's no need for me to come here especially this location.
Update: after writing this review , I received my order and I have to say the hamburger did I got for free was cold not hot at all and the shake with all right but it look like you have been sitting for a few minutes. I don't care what the fate of the car hops are but like I said before I will not be back here.
Just before exiting this review oh, I looked at all the other reviews in I have to say it's time to do a cleanup now I know things are hard because of what's going on currently in that, in this country and especially this state alone but there is absolutely no excuse 4 the slow response time when people order their food. I've been in the Foodservice industry for only 3 years and I had to make sure that I got my response time perfectly and down pat especially during lunch rush. If I sound like I'm a complete a-hole I sincerely apologize but unfortunately dealing with this generation of people can't be easy.
11/10/2024 today I ordered my food and wouldn't you know the only thing that was on point was the red velvet shake but you know what is not on point and not hot at all my food. They've been giving me my food very cold and I've had to go home and warm it up. I'm starting to think that my last review caused some type of grudge because they've been doing this more than once and I have to tell you I've been to the Sonic that's near my apartment and every time I order food it'd be nice and hot and so good but this Sonic on Cameron Road. There needs to be some serious consequences because like I said this happened more than once and I'm guessing that I'm not the only one.

I think his name was Dominique-at the drive thru, there was one car who had already gotten their order but he asked that I wait a second before taking my order. When he came back, he then informed me that "Sonic doesn't serve Ice Cream cones" I had just grabbed one last week from the same location (Worked for sonic for 5 years in the mid-2000's) and have never known sonic to not serve ice cream cones. When I informed him of this-"Couldn't have been-sonic doesnt serve Ice Cream cones". After the last visit at this location was a nightmare, I won't be returning this Sonic. Seems like they pick and chose who they are going to serve. I'd advise anyone thinking about going to this location-choose another sonic.
