Dined here and it was delicious with great service. tried a couple of dishes and desserts - all were awesome. You know, haute cuisine - for example, the banana and salmon rolls (just was not in a mood for nigiri tasting) are an unusual combination but they work surprisingly harmoniously together. Very light and elegant, well-balanced without any strong flavor bias. Wonderful experience overall.
We went during lunch and it was great. Service was quick and excellent. The food was delicious and the lunch deals were spectacular. We will be back!
Exceptional service and tasty sushi in Austin! The Chili Hamachi, Wagu Land & Sea Roll, and Honey Truffle roll were standouts. The only non-a-la carte nigiri option, a tuna flight, fell short of expectations.
I wish I could remember our servers name. He was EXCEPTIONAL!!! We tried so many of his recommendations that we otherwise would not have experienced.
The food here is always so delicious and fresh. I've never had a bad order. The service is also so kind. This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants in Austin.
Soto was absolutely delicious! Reminds us of our favorite sushi restaurant we used to frequent when living in So Ca... so fresh with unique toppings for absolute fabulous flavor. But most of all, they took great care for my Gluten Allergy (Celiac Disease). They modified dishes so I could eat them, and if there was a sauce that I could not have, they let me know. We will 100% be back!!
A little loud and a little busy, but the food is always phenomenal and always worth a visit
Soto is a perfect place to celebrate an iccasion with friends or go on a first date. The food is thoughtfully executed, presentation is amazing and the menu makes it easy to be bold and adventurous. My friends and I tried so many things we've never had before and our server gave us the confidence to take the leap every time. Each plate was amazing, and the sake suggestions paired perfectly with the rolls and sashimi. I can't wait to go back.
This was the absolute best and most creative Sushi I have ever had! If you're looking for basic rolls this is not for you. But if you're looking for buttery, melt in your mouth, one dish better than the next, than this is for you!
The food was phenomenal. Sushi was absolutely spectacular, with impeccably fresh fish served with interesting add-ons. We also really liked the miso soup, pork ribs, wagyu potstickers and little beef rolls with something incredibly delicious inside. Lamb lollipops were less amazing but the mushroom sauce that came with them was 10/10. The space is industrial and not too pleasant, and the noise level is high. Still, the food makes up for all flaws.

Our server was great at making sure we were good and that's all I can really say about this restaurant. I believe the food isn't horrible, but for the amount you're paying for, you'd expect either higher quality or more in quantity.
The food here was delicious as always and our waitress was very attentive, friendly, and thorough. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary that night and were comped a dessert which was appreciated. The only semi negative thing is that the small tables are so close together and the restaurant gets quite busy, so it was hard to hear my husband talking due to how loud everyone else in the place was.
The service is quite exceptional, very attentive to your every request. Thoughtful staff and amazing chefs. Food is DELICIOUS! A must try!
I have been to Soto many times and the food is reliably delicious. I really enjoy their cold plates and tempura.
The sushi and food here is very good! The whole experience, food, and service were top notch and I'm picky. Go see for yourself!!!
