Excellent sashimi and sushi with a tremendous variety. Very create and offering uniqueness. Tried various sashimi and sushi which was excellent. Cocktails and service great. It is pricey and expect to spend well over 100 per person.

Posting this after the Valentine's day Omakase. This is the first time I've wanted an Omakase to end before the courses were over. The lobster tempura was flavorless, the Chilean sea bass was overly sweet. My wife struggled with most dishes because the use of wasabi on many pieces to add flavor was overwhelming. For 175 a person the experience was not up to par.
Definitely worth the visit. Food was amazing!

Food is amazing. 4 out of 5 though because my party ordered together but my wifes risotto took 40 mins to make it to the table and only after we inquired about it. The waitress had come out and asked if there was anything else we needed and i said my wifes risotto and she said oh that hasnt came out yet.
Umi masu was the single best bite of nigiri I've had in years.

Soto is the best sushi restaurant in Austin. We’ve tried them all, and yes, the big names (uchi) included.
If you come in, ask for Katie! Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu will make your dining experience a memorable one. Can’t recommend her enough.

Another fantastic meal at Soto! If you enjoy uni, this place easily tops the list in Austin. Thank you to our server, Paris, for some great recommendations!
My partner and I went for an early dinner and had a fantastic meal and time. I especially want to shout out waitress Jennifer, who really took the time to explain the options, gave excellent descriptions as the food came out, and was thoughtful about allergens throughout. She made you feel welcome and wanted. We will be coming back, that's for sure!

I had good service. The nigiri was good but not a flavor explosion. The spicy salmon had tempura batter in it which made it less healthy.

One of the best sushi experiences we’ve had in the States. The shipped from Japan menu was fantastic. Great wait staff. Hoping to come again!

Great food. Sashimi was incredible, the rolls were beautiful and tasty, lots of small bites options. Miso soup was so good. Cocktails were strong. Can't ask for much more!

The service was above and beyond by our waitress, unfortunately it did not have her name on the receipt. It was loud so I did not hear her name correctly (female, Asian server, really knew her stuff when it comes to sake and sushi). (For mgmt: tip pool 4, server 4) I want to say that Soto was accommodating when the NYE traffic built up and we were late to our reservation, but I called ahead and let them know about 30 mins in advance and they came through. I would recommend the sashimi spread they come up with as a sampler. Also, i move the salmon potato chip! Brussel sprouts were yummy!
The wagyu dumplings were so good that they inspired a New Year's resolution -- learn how to master that recipe
Fantastic food, honestly the best sushi we have had in awhile and we are a little picky! Everything was very fresh and interesting flavors. Great menu to choose from. Our only complaints were that the restaurant was very busy and our server was hard to pin down. Nice guy, but there was a lot going on. A lot of young kids and families there which surprised us, considering the upscale place that it was. But I guess that's Austin for you. It's quite loud in the restaurant but we went on a Saturday night. Would go again for the food, and maybe would try a less busy time.
