When I saw this place I knew I finally found something better than Popeyes. Its almost double the price but the variety and excitement make it a lot better. The chicken wasnt super fall apart tender. Thats a more natural texture than how some fast food places have been getting. I started to appreciate that kinda stuff when I tried Costco Chicken the third time and it tasted like mashed potatos. Ive always wanted some intense spices. Ive seen some documentaries about Mexico and Indian vlogs and I see forgien spice that I wish I had. This place seemed like a mix of all spicy cultures. There was actually more of a Cajun and Jamacian flavor. I expected green chilis since I saw roti. I actually like the spices Ive seen in china too. I got some seshuan pepper coating on there. I started to taste something like all spice which eas too powerful but worth it.

Don't recommend coming on lunch break without calling ahead, took 20 min just for nuggets. The foods pretty good though really well seasoned chicken and good sauce.
Nicest people ever, I brought cash and they covered my meal cause they couldn’t take cash! Love this place and thank you!

This chicken has no business being this good. Sweet, spicy, salty, crunchy. So good.

Maybe it was because we had spent the early afternoon next door at the Still (distillery), maybe it was because we were having way too much fun at St. Elmo Brewery, or maybe it was because we were just really hungry, but Spicy Boys absolutely blew us away
This is an essentially a food truck on the property of St. Elmo’s Brewery, but there’s plenty of shared parking and shared exterior and interior seating
The menu offers a variety of chicken options with varying levels of heat. There’s bone-in chicken, nuggets, sandwiches, tots, and a variety of other options
There was a QR code we used from the bar and it was painless to peruse the menu and order (you can also order at the food truck window). We were also pleasantly surprised to find it didn’t take long at all to get our order. We were notified by text when our order was ready
Again, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, and I don’t typically enjoy food truck food. This fusion works so well, and I’m not lying when I say all 7 of us were raving about just how amazing everything tasted
Some tips:
Get the tingly chicken sandwich and tingly tots. The Sichuan sauce gives a delicious numbing sensation, and it’s delicious
Definitely consider stopping by St. Elmo’s Brewery for a pint, or two, or a flight of beers. Or walk down to the Still for some delightful cocktails or for a distillery tour
Cheers!!

Obviously, amazing food, amazing chicken, duh. But i think its kind if classist that they dont accept cash- this goes for every business that doesnt take cash as well-, but not everyone has electronic money. Some people just have cash, and that is good hard earned money. These ppl deserve to eat too. Again, love the food but the owner may want to rethink this as it can even be a loss of business for SBFC. Everyone deserves to eat. ⭐️_ _ _ _
Many gold stars to the employee- a caucasian man with redish/brownish long hair and beard- for being so so kind and helpful, he is doing an absolutely stellar job serving up this food with impeccable customer service skills! A kind man, a wonderful employee to have on this team🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I want to give more stars because the flavor was good. However, both times I have been here I have been disappointed with the portions. I never complain about portions either. This food is just expensive for how much you get. The item with tater tot seems to be the menu item to get (haven't tried) if you are hungry.
Update: been twice since review and received appropriate portions per cost.

If you want the epitome of a perfect day in Austin you’ll come down to Spicy Boys fried chicken, the flavor the sudden heat and kick from the sauce that you can tell took years of love and devotion to make and the lightly breaded and fried chicken will truly take you back to a different age before rent and other issues mattered. From the smiles on the workers face when you ask for recommendations you know you can’t go wrong and any food lovers will come to love this place !!

The entire menu at this spot is consistently mind-blowing. Every dish is packed with bold, layered flavors, and the sauces are so incredible they could honestly stand on their own. I’ve visited at least 15 to 20 times now, and the quality has been flawless every single time. It is rare to find a place that delivers this level of intensity and consistency without ever missing a beat.
