My wife and I took our kids to Space Cowboy for my son's birthday and had the best time! The food and service was 5-star. I wanted to say how great Jared was at serving our table. He was knowledgeable of every aspect of every dish! This restaurant competes with any restaurant in Austin for creative, delicious, and experiential food. The robot food delivery tracks are awesome! Thanks for a great birthday dinner!
Kid-friendliness: Our kids are both under 10-years old and loved this place! The room makes you feel like you are floating through space and sky because of the lit up moons and fun clouds with dark navy and purple walls/ceilings. Our kids loved to take the food off the robots. We felt very comfortable with them there. It has very nice restaurant food but a really fun, relaxed atmosphere.

I loved the place. The food is delicious and the service is spectacular. We tried: Braised Beef Short Rib, Farm House Garlic Fries, Space Balls (A MUST) and the Rice Trio. Everything was extremely delicious. As for drinks, I only tried the margarita (marg on mars) but I didn't love it. Too fruity for my taste. We arrived right at 5:15 and we had a reservation, but I don't think it was even necessary. The place was not very crowded at that time. Parking is perfect for the place. We didn't struggle at all to find where to park.

Cool place with the robot food and drink delivery. On top of that, the food and cocktails were tremendous. Our server, Jared, helped make it a memorable experience for my daughter’s birthday. Austin has a lot of options, but I’d be hard pressed to not come back next time I’m in town.

While it could be just a restaurant with a robot gimmick, the service and food set this place apart. Our server, Adam, was so knowledgeable and friendly and every dish we had was incredible. Highly recommend the sliders, hamachi, space balls, and signature cocktails! We’ll absolutely be back!
We arrived promptly for our reservation, but they were 25 minutes behind. The hostess and waitress were very kind and apologetic, but there is certainly a big lack of organization for a restaurant that has been around for a while. The big draw for the restaurant is having your order served by conveyer belt robots. We ordered two drinks, an appetizer and two main dishes, and only one drink was served by robot. When the hostess (not waitress) brought the appetizer by hand, she apologized that it didn’t come by robot and said that she hoped our main plates would come by robot. They did not. She said that the orders were backed up so not everything was being served by robot. So out of everything we ordered, one drink was served by robot… and I just so happened to go wash my hands when it came out. The food was tasty and mostly well-prepared (the octopus was not tenderized nearly enough), and the drinks were solid, if over-priced. At the end of the meal, our waitress was kind enough to treat us to cotton candy (this might be standard, as I saw a lot of it going around) and a succulent plant in celebration of our anniversary. Again, the service was very kind, and the food was solid. It’s just that the main draw for Space Cowboy is the robot service, and this was an absolute fail. Also, since we had to wait an additional 25 minutes for our table despite having a reservation, we started off our experience with low expectations. We would go again to give it another shot, but it’s certainly not our highest recommendation in Austin due to the poor managerial planning.
Parking: Free parking but only space for very little clientele. Honestly, they might as well not have a parking lot as it can hold about 10-20% of the diners

The food was just overwhelmingly underwhelming, especially for the price. Bland and lacking in flavour, chicken was dry, and I had a hair on my entree.
I’m not one to mention that to service, but if you price your restaurant like this, the food better speak for itself.
We felt ripped off, which then made the whole decor and atmosphere feel gimmicky.
