One of the best all-around music venues in Austin. Especially appreciate the sound guy for being truly professional and great at his work but also chill and easy to work with (not something that is as common as it should be)
I went to the spider house ballroom for Lez prom and had an amazing time! The dance floor had ample area for dancing and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The bar periodically got busy but the bartenders kept up without creating much of a wait. As a newly sober lezzie I was elated to find N.A options available. My only suggestion would be a bathroom expansion. 2 stalls in the women bathroom for the size of the venue is bonkers to me!
Fantastic bar, hangout, and venue. I've seen great comedy shows, local bands, and flea and swap meets here. The bartenders are great and polite and the area is spacious and includes an outdoor stage and patio area.
