Reading through years of reviews for this iconic spot, I’m struck by how much Star Seeds has meant to so many people. As a freethinking outcast who grew up in suffocating, bigoted small-town Texas and found refuge in Austin—the “promised land,” the safe zone for people like me—I can’t help but feel deeply about how things have turned out.

If there’s anyone still holding on, still fighting the good fight, it sounds like Star Seeds is it. The rest...

A little part of me is dying inside because this treasure is going away. 24hrs a day 7 days a week you could get the best chocolate chip pancakes. Softest biscuits and some amazing people watching after your grueling night shift. Thanks Star Seeds for feeding us service industry people for all these years.

LOVE THIS PLACE... THE WAITRESS IS FREAKIN AWESOME & THE ENERGY HERE IS SO LOW KEY & CALM.. THE OLD SCHOOL DINER FEEL AND LOOK TO IT WHICH I MISS SEEING & BEING IN THE SURROUNDINGS LIKE IT. ALSO WHERE CAN YOU GO THESE DAYS AFTER COVID THAT STILL HAS THAT OLD SCHOOL AUSTIN FEEL AND OPEN 24HRS? THIS PLACE. IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN HERE THEN YOU NEED TO GO NOW BEFORE THEY CLOSE SINCE AUSTIN IS SCREWING EVERY SMALL BUSINESS
