i’ve been to plenty of Starbucks locations over the years, but this visit was hands-down the worst coffee shop experience I’ve ever had. I walked in to find the floor sticky, tables covered in crumbs, and trash overflowing from the bins. Not exactly the cozy, clean atmosphere Starbucks likes to advertise.
I ordered a simple drink—a tall latte—and it still managed to take over 15 minutes, despite there being only two people in line ahead of me. When my drink finally came out, it was lukewarm at best and tasted burnt, as if the espresso had been sitting in the machine far too long. The milk was barely frothed and left a strange, sour aftertaste.
The staff seemed completely uninterested in being there. One barista was openly complaining to a coworker about their shift while ignoring customers waiting at the counter. Another was scrolling on their phone instead of wiping down the mess in the café. Not once did anyone offer an apology for the delay or the state of the place.
Even the pastry I grabbed—an old standby croissant—was stale and dry, like it had been sitting out all day. I’ve had gas station baked goods that tasted fresher.
Between the dirty environment, lackluster service, and poor-quality drinks, I honestly can’t think of a single reason to return to this Starbucks. If this had been my first Starbucks experience, it would have been my last. Corporate needs to take a serious look at how this location is being run.

The best Starbucks so far as it has great employees who greets customers and says thanks friendly and politely. The plac is also clean and spacious.
Pretty disgusting 🤮 location …. Homeless people on the patio and inside the taking up tables. The restrooms were taking up by people bathing in the sink. WHAT ABOUT paying customers???? Don’t we have the right to sit down and use the toilet????? This IS the problem with Austin. Sanctuary city on every level turning even a coffee shop into a place that the average person can’t get a little PEACE!!! Public places are filthy and reminds me of Zombieland

Slow and overlooked service during a non rush.
Was just told the barista who served our order was a new face so perhaps they’re still adjusting. Friendly to others but not to my party and I.

I love Maniyah man! 🔥☺️ I was having such an off morning and she really made my day with her welcoming and amazing energy! She went out of her way to double check if they had a certain item in stock for me with no hesitation and just made me feel special 🥰 Thanks again for making my morning better!

I can't say enough good things about the staff here. I’m usually there around 5 am, and I’ve seen the early morning crew handle some odd situations with a calm, firm professionalism. In my opinion, they’ve managed the new rules, and the turmoil that’s come with them, with real grace. I’ve watched these young people endure verbal abuse with a composure I know I couldn’t manage myself.
As a side note, coming from someone with zero medical background, the general guidance I’ve found online suggests limiting water intake just before and after dialysis… just saying...

No greeting upon entry, staff @ 51st/Berkman seemed more interested in talking to each other, my online order took way too long, the new order tracking board didn't encourage the staff to work more efficiently.

Fantastic Starbucks experience. Their baristas are all wonderful and very professional. Very efficient staff. I get in and out in no time. They make excellent beverages. Friendly staff, a true pleasure for me and family to come here. Kudos to their management team. You won't be dissapointed... keep in mind there is no drive through, but you can certainly order online.

Ordered in the app and planned to tip cash on pickup. I don’t like to rifle through the coffee orders and didn’t see mine under my initial at the counter. After standing for 5 minutes, I decided to look at N-Z. The name on the order was Eva. SMDH. My last name isn’t an N-Z either. Other orders were by name correctly, so all I can guess is it’s because I didn’t tip in the app. Like I said, I’d planned to tip in person. Guess who didn’t bother to tip in person, either? Never got spoken to at all, in any way. Drink was good, gingerbread was a little intense but that’s not their fault.

We host Pokemon Go Community Day events here every month, and the manager and staff have been so welcoming and supportive of our group.
