It’s unfortunate they switched taco suppliers. The new tacos are tiny. There is hardly anything inside the tacos. You’re basically eating a tortilla. The quality of the coffee has also decreased. The coffee has a bitter burnt taste. I can’t blame the baristas for the coffee because the taste of Summer Moon coffee in general isn’t what it used to be 5 years ago.

Sat waiting for three hot chocolates for almost 15 minutes with the drive thru window open and no one greeted me to acknowledge I was there. I found that very rude. I understand you may be busy and short staffed but greet the customer and say sorry for the wait, etc. Then they were lukewarm.

Summer Moon has by far the best coffee and best service of all the coffee shops in Austin. The atmosphere is wonderful whether I’m meeting friends or spending some time working.

I’d like to start off of by saying I have only had these experiences at this Summer Moon location, none of the others. Twice I have ordered a latte with an extra pump of the flavoring but the coffee tastes like there is no flavoring in it at all.. just milk and coffee. Then yesterday they got my coffee order wrong and this morning I noticed that in the drive through when they ask you to sign and it asks for a tip THEY HAVE BEEN ADDING A TIP WITHOUT ASKING and then holding the card reader sideways for you to sign so you can’t see it🚩 It’s not okay to do that. Makes sense why a small coffee was coming out to $8. For these reasons I won’t be coming back to this location.
My boss and I walked into this location today and he ordered a coffee, no problems, quick and easy. I ordered just a plain ice small iced coffee after him, paid and left a tip. Well my boss finished his coffee and says he’ll wait outside. 15mins goes by and the 4-5 employees are chatting it up and I’m watching at least 7 other orders completed. The lady who took my order was constantly glancing at me so I was hoping she had kept my order in mind. After that long I needed to get to our job site so I just walked out. The hassle is not worth my time or effort. No I don’t want a refund, I worked in customer service so I know how it is and I didn’t want to leave this review but we aren’t cattle. I just wanted some ice and coffee in a cup and that’s all.
