It was a nice place before but with the new rules closing at 6 pm , guys, instead of 8 pm. You will lose all of your customers including me.

Coffee is unique and tastes with oak roasting. Artisan pop-tart style pastries are delicious, filling, and enjoyable - filling is more of a compote or ganache with moderate sweetness. Hot chocolate is also good, with real chocolate (would prefer something with less sweetness and perhaps even a spiced chocolate, or dark chocolate version).Cinnamon roll is tastey, but somewhat dry and too sweet with the glaze - cream cheese icing would be better. Matcha and Chai are both a "mix". Chai latte is too sweet, and matcha is low grade, grassy and heavy on the "fishy" flavor that comes with low grade matcha.Staff is friendly and attentive. Recommend for coffee and pastries. If looking for other crafted drinks like spiced teas or matcha, consider other places that design their own spice blends or brew a higher grade matcha.

So far my favorite coffee in Austin! Love the moon milk! Staff is very welcoming when you walk in and the place is super cozzy! They also make homemade toaster strudels

I love Summer Moon. I can recommend a million things, but I just tried the Keto Bravo (New Year's Resolution), and it was delicious. Also, I had a group order and managed to spill the carrier on myself walking out to my car. Shout out to Kelly and Madden (baristas) for giving me a second round gratis. It was also packed, and they handled the crowd quickly and smiling. Very, very impressed.

Summer Moon is by far my favorite coffee shop to visit. The coffee is very tasty, the baristas are super friendly and the management works extra hard to ensure all customers are taken care of. They also listen to suggestions and have reinvested in the space by adding comfy lounge chairs and more space inside to work.If you go early in the morning it can be busy (like every coffee shop) and it tends to have more people stopping and meeting than most coffee shops. Its a joyful and happy ambiance that I highly recommend.

There is a barista there, I think her name is Lee. I see her a few times a week in the mornings. She’s always nice and personable. She’s recently been exploring her artistic side with amazing foam art. Kudos on her snowman. This location in my opinion is the best in Austin.
Super cute coffee shop! I love their 1/4 moon latte. Their gluten-free dairy free lemon poppyseed loaf was great.

Summer Moon's Whisper Moon latte: creamy perfection with a hint of sweetness that enhances the coffee's natural flavor. Smooth, bold, and oh-so-satisfying.

I have been a Summer Moon fans for years and have been to 6 of their Austinish locations. This location is my favorite. The quality of the coffee and service is high at all of them. I am a big fan of their moon milk although I never go full as that is too rich for my blood. My drink of choice there is a 1/4 Blue Wintermoon (iced coffee with 1/4 serving of their moon milk and lavender syrup). I like their nitro when I am need of a lot of caffeine but can't drink that later than midmorning. The selection of baked goods varies a bit which doesn't seem to be based on distance from their source. My longtime favorite has been their lemon poppyseed bread they get from Russell's Bakery which the Anderson Lane location doesn't seem to carry although they are likely the closest location to the bakery. I recently tried and enjoyed the mixed berry hand pie. The vibe for their locations is fairly consistent with most having dark wood tables and an outdoor seating option. This one stands out among the rest for having lots of space with a variety of indoor seating options, outdoor seating, and a drive thru. They have a mix of low tables and high tops. There are several large comfy chairs to melt back into with a good book while you enjoy your coffee. There are lots of outlets for people wanting to work and study there. Between the noises of order taking, milk frothing, the music, and people talking the noise volume is moderate. If I am getting things to go all of the locations are fine but I would choose this one if I were meeting someone for coffee or planning to stay to work or study.

Lattes with moon milk have become so inconsistent that I don’t know what to order. I have always ordered a quarter moon with oat milk, but lately have had lots of experiences where it just tastes like a plain latte. I started ordering a half moon, and that sometimes works, but if it’s made correctly it is much sweeter than I want. Comments from management in response to reviews of long drive through times miss the point that it’s not the number of customers causing a problem but rather that one might wait 15 minutes for the store to process 4 cars through the line. Im a long time customer and happy supporter but this location needs work.
