This summer moon location is completely out of my way, but I think it is worth the trip to come out here because this place is run extremely well and the service is always great. I totally understand that in these days no place is perfect because every establishment that is in the service industry is struggling to find good help but this place continues to exceed my expectations very time I come. And if they happen to make a mistake, because no establishment or human os perfect, they fix it right away, without question. I personally think that this summer moon location is the best out of the many in the surrounding areas.

This is the only coffee shop in Steiner, so I’m here frequently and don’t really have an alternative option…But, the service is lackluster at best. My order is wrong more often than right, they constantly for get salsa, napkins and silverware, drive thru times are crazy, and I hate having a tip option shoved in my face every time I go through the drive through.These are easy changes they could make that would make customer experience significantly better.

Summer Moon is by far my favorite coffee shop to visit. The coffee is very tasty, the baristas are super friendly and the management works extra hard to ensure all customers are taken care of. They also listen to suggestions and have reinvested in the space by adding 4 large covered outdoor tables and new indoor tables.If you go early in the morning it can be busy (like every coffee shop) but they are constantly hustling to keep the lines moving.Love this place stop by when its quieter and you can really enjoy the ambiance.

I just want to preface this review by stating that my family has been supporting Summer Moon since they first opened 20 or so years ago on South 1st, and we have never had a negative experience until we started to visit this location a few years ago. Within the past two years, every time we have gone, our very simple orders are either a little bit off, or almost entirely wrong. We will order a hot coffee and it will come iced and made incorrectly, or we order an iced latte and it will come out with the wrong type of milk and be *extremely* bitter and nearly unpalatable.I will always hesitate to blame the staff as I’ve worked both in food service and retail before and I have sympathy for the stressful environments, but this location simply isn’t anywhere near up to par with any of the other ones we frequent. The staff at this location seem to be very disorganized and produce some of the worst drinks with unnecessarily long wait times when they aren’t busy, bringing us disappointment and frustration after we have tipped them well.(The most disgusting thing I’ve ever received was when I ordered a (non-customized) iced Matcha Moon Latte and they somehow gave me one made with RANCID tasting coconut water/milk instead of moon milk, and I got sick! It was so disgusting…)
