Honest Review:
I’ve been coming to this location consistently for about six months. It’s been my go-to spot for lunch breaks, meeting up with friends, and even a few dates. I’ve never had bad service here—until these past two weeks.
The first time I got bad attitude from a server, I assumed it was a fluke. I still tipped $5 with my friend because everyone has long days. But this week confirmed it wasn’t just a one-time thing.
I came in alone, sat down, and at first the service was fine. Then the manager started taking some of my orders in between the server’s. When I tried to order an item that was limited, he told me I couldn’t order it more than once. Totally fine—but I explained I already the item twice bc one was taken by the server and one by him, and I simply hadn’t realized.
By then I was full and asked for the check, and that’s when everything went downhill.
Basic restaurant etiquette: tipping should be private. The employee should not hover or stare at the payment screen.
He set the payment scanner directly on my table and then started questioning me for not tipping on the card. I was surprised and told him, “I’m just trying to pay and leave, if that’s okay with you.” I was already late for an event and didn’t expect to be held up by someone pressuring me over a tip.
Then he said, “The servers don’t like helping you because you don’t tip. They complain to me.”
I nodded and responded, “Maybe you should pay them more then, so they don’t complain abt their customers.”
I’ve worked in food service for five years. I know what it’s like to rely on tips, I know how hard the job is, and I always make an effort to support staff. But shaming or confronting a customer because they choose not to tip on a card—especially when they *planned* to leave a cash tip—is unacceptable. It creates an unsafe, uncomfortable environment and puts a bad look on the restaurant.
This place has officially lost a loyal customer.
Either fix the management or fix the staff—because this behavior is completely inappropriate.

What one would expect for what I would consider a small hole in the wall sushi place. Dark, sports on the t.v. K-Pop Demon Slayer's Gilden playing g. If you sit at the bar you still have to wait for a waiter to come take your order. Everyone was very nice, prices and sushi as expected.

Came here with 4.2/5 star expectations and leaving with my belly on 10/5 reality. This place is so underrated. The sushi cuts they give us were very very generous for the ayce price. Before trying here, I ate at Kan Sushi and it had vastly different experience. The amount of sushi rice Kan sushi gave us and cuts were cheapsake. This place they know customers comes for the raw fish and provided smaller rice portions and bigger fish cuts!!
The menu is also quite numerous compared to usual sushi ayce places. Every sushi item I ordered were fresh and delicious!

This is most likely the best sushi In Austin. I would even dare to compare this place with West coast sushi. Their all you can eat option is great. Fish is very fresh. Definitely should try their nigiri and sashimi. Also their fried rolls are phenomenal. Owner is very attentive and friendly. When in Austin this is your place for sushi
