I had the Ramen/Special Roll special. Ramen was disappointing, looked & tasted like instant ramen. Special roll was really good. Service was a bit below average

I really wanted to like this place. We came back a few times trying to convince ourselves it was good. Between my husband and I AYCE was $80. We were here for almost 2 hours and only received maybe 15 pieces of nigiri total. Dispite what we would order we only received about 5 pieces at a time then wait 30 minutes for the next round. The pieces of fish are thin and have a weird taste. The last round had green spots on it and smelt very bad. We left feeling like we wasted time and money.

Not a bad place to visit and eat. It has a nice atmosphere with not bad service. Food wasn't too bad but wasn't the best. Decent prices considering the location.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY.Came in to try their AYCE. Disliked almost everything about the experience.(First impressions)Ordered the iced tea & lemonade but it all tasted like water with a hint of flavor. There was only 2 customers in the restaurant at the time. When we first walked in for 3 people, they barely greeted us and then only setup the table for 2 people; after 5-10 minutes, we had to ask them ourselves for a set of utensils & plates. The seats are uncomfortable & the floor platform is a little bit wonky. The atmosphere is nice & romantic for the most part.(The food)Mainly would come here for the sushi rolls if I ever came back. They're tasty & nicely deep fried. However, the Nigiri Sushis are placed ALL super close & right next to each other!! Flavors from something else on the plate would crossover to another item; it was A MESS!! Not to mention they don't list all the ingredients on ALL of their sushi rolls. One of our friends is allergic to a type of sauce & the menu didn't list that it would be on the sushi roll they ordered!! The scallops were barely even scallops; the 'Scallop Yum Yum' was basically shredded imitation crab with spicy mayo on top of rice. The 'Aomori scallop's just looked and tasted like a barely thawed, flavorless spiral of "scallop" that looks like a mini octopus. NOT WORTH $37 WHATSOEVER.

Overall, this place is decent (although it’s unfortunate that they don’t offer a sashimi menu), but the service is less than satisfactory. After the boss’ friends came in, the waiter stopped paying attention to us and the food took longer to come out.

Ok, has it happened to you that you go into a place not expecting much just by the look at it? Well I definitely judged this place by the looks of it...., boy was I wrong! I mean, I'm not giving 5 stars to atmosphere, but THE FOOD! wow wow wow.One of the best suchi I've ever had.Pro tip: flip the menu and make sure you try one of the rolls on the big list.

The food is great and so was the service. The place is small and could use some updating, but it was clean and inviting. My only complaints were that they used a little too much rice in their rolls, and the "Samshimi Special" was huge chunks of fish, which made the pieces chewy.

Came here on Fat Tuesday for all you can eat sushi, oh yes ? More than a few pieces were way too big for one bite, abnormally so. It was busy, service was very slow, waiter forgot drinks and seemed overworked. I got a comped sake since it was forgotten for so long and a piece of mochi gratis.

The place smells so bad, the rolls are 90% rice, the salmon on top was like a ham slice, server didn't ask for drinks refill, or bring any Wasabi and the plates were all broken.

Junai just isn't what it used to be. The rice is warm, and the fish is frozen. I keep thinking that next time will be better, but it never is. The only silver lining is this one waitress — she always remembers us and never fails to deliver amazing service. Aside from her, coming here doesn't feel worth it anymore.
