Long wait in crowded foyer. Many phone orders too causing a bagel and avacado toast to take 20+ min. Turns out names are announced outside also. Bready bagel not toasted though receipt said toasted. Not much for the money. Over the hill.

$18 for a chicken salad is robbery. The staff doesn’t even look you in the eye. $70 total plus tip for 2 coffees, two sandwiches and two cookies is criminal. Not coming back.

Amazing cafe and bakery! Very busy on a Sunday morning but the line moved quickly and there were multiple outdoor seating areas. The iced coffee and the cinnamon roll were the standouts but the bagel egg sandwich and avocado toast were also good. Will be back!

Don’t waste your time here. This place is everything that has gone wrong with Austin. You’re paying $20 for two coffees and two pieces of bread. The staff are rude, it’s expensive, the goods are low quality and after all that you’re still standing in a studio apartment (the place is tiny). Please please please don’t go here. Such a disappointment. One of the worst bakeries in Austin.

Amazing cinnamon rolls! Cinnamon ratio was just right. It wasn't too soft and baked to perfection. The cream cheese frosting was so good, they put something in it that made it taste over the top!!! My vanilla latte was really good too! Not to bitter and and too sweet! It was just right!
This place also had many other baked goods as well, a tad on the pricey side though!

$12 for a loaf of bread is outrageous. The same loaf of bread costs $5.50 at one of the most successful long term bakeries in Austin. Buyer beware
I have seen influencers recommend this place.
Totally underwhelming… poor service (we waited 30min for a sandwich) and wasn’t busy… on top of that they used the wrong ingredients… no atmosphere at all at this place… pastry and food mediocre…
Not sure why they call it “Swedish”… as a Scandinavian there is nothing Scandic with this place…
Totally overhyped and not worth the visit..

This is the matcha latte I ordered, CAME HALF FULL. They charged me extra for NO ICEA and then the drink comes half full. Insane, will never order from again.

First time checking out Swedish Hill, and the flaky pastries were our favorites! I’m a sucker for anything cherry, and the tart cherry cream cheese danish, ham and cheese, kouign amann, and Nutella bun, almond croissant were amazing. We took a chance on the macarons (cranberry orange, gingerbread, and eggnog) but I’d probably skip them next time. As macarons go, they’re not as sweet as others, which I appreciate, but the texture was a bit too crisp, not as much chew as I’d expect from a macaron. The coffee is nice and strong and doesn’t feel watered down, I got the iced Swedish coffee (coconut cream and oat milk) and my mom got a hot almond milk latte with lavender. Both were delicious. Go for the flaky pastries and coffee! Sourdough looks yummy too!

Overpriced
Lovely sandwich shop with amazing customer service and an awesome vibe. Very dog friendly as seating is all outdoors. The sandwiches we got were very good, not blow your mind good. Would recommend coming and enjoying a great spot!

It's a very small space inside, and cute, but difficult to enter and navigate. The line waiting for drinks overlaps with the line to wait for a drink and that blocks the entrance. There are only a few seats at a counter by the door, otherwise there are a few small tables to sit at outside. The staff wasn't rude, but they also weren't helpful in guiding me through the menu, which if they would have suggested something maybe my experience could have been better. I ordered a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and it was okay, nothing extraordinary. I didn't order a coffee because they only have paper to go cups and I really wanted the sit in mug experience this morning. I recommend other more accommodating and yummy places in the area.

Been a couple of years since we've to Swedish Hill.
Unfortunately, a few dollars more and half the size. Pasta salad was great. But 2 medium sized sandwiches and a pint ofpasta salad for $60?
