Wow I was super impressed with Taco Flats. We ordered take-out with friends and I was overwhelmed by how massive these tacos were. The migas was so delicious and black and green was also a favorite. Taco Flats has definitely become a favorite taco place for us.
The chori-queso taco was recommended to us by a friend. It’s got grilled Jack cheese, smoked mushrooms, onion and cilantro. It was a winner- the cheese gets crispy and the flavors are bomb. Yes yes yes!

I had the worst to go couple of tacos ever from this first time place! Even though I always avoid sources and prefer simple food still my stomach still disturbed of these awful tacos. Grilled shrimp was brownish and old and the chicken pollo asado smelled real bad! Awful. The place seemed busy and clean but it looks like their chef likes to push older food for the takeaway customers.. Taco flats!
This is good *American* food that is Mexican-inspired. I love the huevos rancheros taco, but the meats here are all SUPER lean. I don't like low-fat food. I prefer to leave the table feeling satiated.
The "al pastor" was especially disappointing. In fact it's barely even al pastor, it's more like hard, desiccated, thin slices of 100% LEAN pork baked in smoky American BBQ sauce. I expect al pastor to be juicy and savory.
The chips are awful, too thick and hard, plus they dust them with cayenne pepper.
The other weird thing about this place is that they don't have plates or silverware ? I find it hard to respect a sit-down restaurant that makes you use a plastic fork.
