I don’t think I’ve ever given a blatant 1 star review but this was deplorable. I ordered Uber eats - 2 carve tacos on special and a quesadilla. They actually served me this quesadilla pictures below.. I am completely appalled. Both tacos were ice cold too. What is that garbage???

One of my favorites! Everything down to the tortillas are made from scratch and it's all delicious. The staff is wonderful and attentive however it can get busy but for good reason so have some patience, you won't regret it!

I have been here many times, but last night it was noticeably worse than usual. Many of the tables had not been cleaned. Taco Flats has you order on your phone so it took some time to put in the order and credit card info instead of just telling someone what you would like- it seems like an example of a tech situation that actually makes like harder. It took more than 20 minutes to get our drinks. Then, the we could see our tacos ready by the kitchen for more than 25 minutes but they weren’t being brought out to us. So we went and tried to get them ourselves at that point. They were very burned and the beef was overcooked with black charcoal on them. They should not have been served. All together, Taco Flats was definitely off and I will not be going back anytime soon.

Great tacos here. The most I liked is their Migas. Shrimp and pollo are good too.

Being a vegetarian, options are pretty limited. Ones that do offer vegetarian tacos, are evidently half hearted efforts, or trying to taste as close to meat as possible. One bite here and I am no longer looking for a better taco joint.

Where do you find a good taco in Texas? Houston, San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley... And then there's this place. Austin couldn't make a good taco to save it's life, but Taco Flats makes not only killer tacos, but also killer drinks and their hand cut fries are the best I've ever had. I ordered some extra fries to take home tonight since they're about to close because I know I'll be wanting more and I'm not about to regret not having them. Seriously, this place is it. Oh, yeah and they have sorts on TV.

The food was okay, nothing spectacular. Everything was a bit on the spicy side, so be prepared for that (Even the chips and guac). The food was a bit on the pricey side and also served on paper plates (as opposed to actual plates that you would wash). What I primarily have a difficult time stomaching (no pun intended) Is requiring customers to scan a QR code to order their food and not interacting with them outside of that. I can understand if the restaurant is incredibly big and or super popular, but it's a small strip mall restaurant and when I went in, hardly anyone was even eating there in the first place.I only ever interacted with my waitress twice; the first time was her telling me that all the food is ordered through the QR code, and the second was to bring my food out. No drink refills, no checking on the quality of the food, none of that. So I have a hard time justifying a 18% - 25% tip (and it didn't seem to give the option for a custom tip despite selecting that choice on the app) when the serving staff are allowed to get away with the absolute bare minimum. Asking for a tip of that amount that should only come with full service like regular restaurants. It just seems to allow restaurants to get incredibly lazy with their service, since my waitress was in the back doing anything but serving me, and the bartender was sitting there watching sports instead of checking on customers. And let's not even get into what may happen if someone shows up without a smartphone. Maybe they don't have one, or maybe they forgot it. But how do you wind up serving those customers? Point is, QR code seem to be noticeably making customer service lazy and poor, while demanding full service tips. It's getting ridiculous.I thought the food here was just okay, but it was that very "hands off and give the bare minimum amount of service" approach that I simply can't say that I was a fan of. Even the food was served in those little paper containers, which tells me they aren't even bothering to wash dishes. For that reason, I can't say I'll be coming back here again.

Placed a to go order, they told me I’d be notified via text once the food was ready.I unfortunately never received a text or any other notification to indicate it was ready, so when I went to pick up the order it was cold, dry, and soggy.I did receive a confirmation text with my receipt after paying, ruling out the possibility that I gave an incorrect phone number.

Great service! Food was good. Had carne asada flour taco and birria taco. Friend had barbacoa taco and said it was good. Reason for 4 stars, birria shell was to hard but it was meaty..and good. 5 star place.

I've liked Taco Flats for a long time (even though they discontinued the fantastic bacon-wrapped cheese-stuffed jalapenos, grrr!), and this new-ish location has the advantage of a real parking lot, unlike the Burnet Road location (which is great if you do manage to park). Taco Flats has real jalapeno "cream" salsa, and by "real" I mean "very very spicy", which is the way it's supposed to be. Solid tacos, great bar, what more could you ask for.

Consistent food and service with the one on Burnet. Lots of meat in the tacos and panchos are meal size.
