The best place to go for breakfast any day of the week, the service is splendid
My favorite tacos in the world. I used to go to the Barton skyway location back in 2003. And I still come to taco deli every time I visit Austin. As a vegetarian, the Heather is the most delicious taco in the world.
The service was horrible! The person who took our order rushed us and seemed bothered. When we asked questions, she just said whatever you want. The tacodeli bowl was 50% beans and bland. The shrimposito was sad. It lacked anything. The price was definitely not matching the food we received. Would not come again.
Love the grab and go breakfast tacos, also the Roberto’s brazos fuerte queso.
Taco Deli on 3rd & Congress is like the Whole Foods version of tacos — clean, fresh, and making you feel healthier even if you just ate three. It’s not Torchys-level chaos with wild combos like “deep-fried brisket lava explosion,” but hey, simplicity slaps sometimes. You’re paying about $4–5 a taco. The staff are absolute angels. Fast and friendly. It’s an Austin classic taco location, not flashy, not Instagram thirsty, just quietly, consistently good. Like that one friend who doesn’t party hard but always shows up with Advil the next morning.
Tacos are quite small considering the price and most of them lack flavor; the employees were really helpful when we asked about allergies and dietary restrictions.
We ordered different tacos but their best was the Mexico City Sirloin.
Small Texas chain of taco shops with food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate at one in downtown Austin. The beef tacos were really good, with tender and well-flavored beef, a range of toppings, and great selection of salsa. The drinks were strong too. Indoor and outdoor seating and friendly staff. Not as inexpensive as a taco stand, but the quality of the ingredients was great. Give it a try.
I’ve been to gracy farms and Barton skyway taco delis and this one is by far the slowest taco deli I’ve ever been to. There is 8 people here and there was no one in front of me. I ordered 2 tacos and I’m still sitting here going on 15min
Great all round! I really appreciate the food and the staff seem like good people. Thanks for my wonderful lunch, as a visitor from far out of town (and not familiar with Texas or South USA in general!)

I'm a tacodeli fan but the corn tortillas I had on one of my tacos here today were very stiff and stale. :( This pretty much ruins the taco so please address this.
When i visited taco deli, the employees were so very helpful to every customer. I saw them interact with, including myself. Love their tacos! And especially loved the employees on this visit. Thank you so much!
