The best food in Austin, has been our go to taco spot for years!! The tortas are my personal favorite. We now live about 45 mins away but the quality of the food is definitely worth the drive :)
You must try the menudo on Sundays it’s the best menudo ever. It does go by fast so we drive about 45 mins to go get it super early in the morning. The owner Elvira is a hard working women I know her since she use to sell in her house. Try the menudo and barbacoa you won’t regret it!
The tacos were good but it was the torta that was the star. I had the torta with bistec that was the right amount of salty. Their telera bread they toasted extra so that the crunch cut against the soft meats and vegetables. They also ensured that the sandwich wasn't oily, so my stomach wasn't heavy afterwards.This place is now a go-to for me on the way back from north of Austin.
