It's been 3 years since I stumbled upon TacoWey on 6th street on a trip to Austin. I went back every night for the Al Pastor. These are the BEST tacos I have ever had and I think about them often. I've strongly considered driving to Austin from Tennessee just for these tacos and nothing else. I have not been able to find anything like these since. Miss you, TacoWey.

Awesome FAST, loaded, tacos right at the corner from Student Services Building on Dean Keaton and University Avenue!!! I tried the 3 tacos for $10, and I was able to choose 3 different types. I went for pastor, pirata, and beef. Tacos come with onions, cilantro, cheese, and a tasty green sauce. Tasty, filling, and great price considering the location. It’s a white food truck, and they’re open M to F 10 am (or was it 11?) to 6:00pm. Same owner and same food as other Taco Wey locations, although this is my first time trying them. I’ll definitely be back. Service was also great, personalized, and efficient. Highly recommended if you’re in the area. I’m glad I didn’t go out of my way to get food at other places with bad reviews. This Taco Wey fills a great void of location + flavor + price= Value when you need food. I’ll be back !

I am from South Texas McAllen and regularly would eat lonches and tacos from Mexico. I can say after trying numerous places these tacos are the closest to authentic Mexican tacos. THEY ARE SOOOO GOOOD!! The beans taste similar to my grandpas recipe which is very rare as I’ve never tasted beans similar to my grandpas. Definitely worth every single penny! I had tacos de Pastor and bean tacos. I’ll be returning often as they’re simply irresistible. Fast service too!
