Following our meal, my friends and I had the pleasure of meeting Raul, the dreamy owner of Taqueria 10 de 10. We learned about his vision of bringing a piece of his Mexican homeland to Austin, a vision unfulfilled by other establishments in the area. That's where Taqueria 10 comes in. Not only does Raul offer delectable tacos around the clock, but also boasts a bar and a club, making it a true destination for those seeking an authentic taste of Mexico and a vibrant nightlife experience.

Went to this newly opened Taqueria in an alley near the Austin Convention Center during SXSW, the service was efficient and the decor cool, a hideaway location but the food definitely lacked lunch. The pastor tacos did not have any flavor and was very dry as well as the Carne Asada taco. I expected better but could be the rush of the festival, so it was quantity over quality.The two types of salsa also needed more punch and kick to it. Overall a disappointing first visit due to the food quality. Service was good and pricing was on the higher side compared to other taco joints with less meat as well.

I heard about this place and was catching a show downtown so decided to try it out. 10/10 lives up to the hype as an amazing taco place in Austin that has instantly become one of my favorites. The food is simple yet delicious, and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the downtown area. The service is also fast and friendly. We ordered tacos, burritos, quesadillas, guacamole, rice, and beans, and everything was excellent. This place sets the standard for tacos in the area and reminds me of the food my grandmother used to make. I hope they open more locations around town for more people to enjoy their delicious food.I've lived in central Texas for over 40 years and if you are an old-school local that normally avoids downtown, please make an exception for this taqueria. It will make your San Antonio friends proud ?Vegetarian options: They have nopales as an option instead of meat.Parking: Located in an alleyway downtown by the convention center. Find parking where you can and walk.

March 2024I finally located Taqueria 10 de 10 where it's a hidden taco place from where you enter from an alley and navigate through a bar called ReyRey. After trying their tacos it immediate jumped to my top three places in Austin.I don't think anyone here speaks English adding to the authentically of this place, and seeing that huge piece of meat hanging reminded me of the street food in Mexico.I ordered a Pollo Al Grill Taco and a Topo Chico. This place was small but there are some table seating and bar style. My taco was folded like a cone and took a bite. It was unbelievably mouth-watering where it had a wonderful taste. I was in heaven. The chicken had so much flavor and with the guac sauce and spices made it so spectacular.I liked the decor and how this small eatery was organized. Now I know where this place it I will come back again to taste another item on their menu.
