This was the blandest food I've had in my life I had a bowl and it was so disappointing it tasted like air there's literally no flavor on it hospital food has more flavor than this I bet jails in Mexico season their food better than they do I would not eat here again even if I was paid by Jeff besos himself this food is so bland that it reset it my taste buds not even a spec of salt on the entire bowl I can't believe a place that is located inside a grocery shop couldn't season their food it's truly sad I expected better from Whole Foods I don't even write reviews but this was so bad I had to share my thoughts I would not feed this to my worst enemy it's an insult to every Mexican out there that this places names itself cocina when they can't even use a little bit of spice it's truly sad almost depressing I hope the name changes from cocina to "bland foods" ps I ate half the bowl because after all I paid for it but after a quarter of it I was just forcing myself every bite had to go down with a drink truly awful no disrespect to whoever cooked this they probably wanted to season this but they weren't allowed to I hope this changes and this doesn't occur again good day

Passing through downtown after an airport pick up, and headed into WFM downtown to do a little grocery shopping. The produce section was bursting with high quality vegetables, super fresh! Wine selection many and is top quality, including many highly rated bottles under $25! Top quality bakery too! Plenty of freshly prepared, self-service, carry out foods, hot and cold, if you need a quick meal to go. A wonderful place to shop and eat!

A must visit for anyone visiting the US - a brilliant selection of great food. The green juice did not agree with me, but that may have been is issue with my body rather than the product

Visited in Dec ‘22 as a family with young children. Descent amount of parking given its location in the city. Although this is the first Whole Foods to ever launch it is painfully similar to most mid sized locations. If that is what you are looking for then great find for you. If you were expecting something to be special or different given the importance of this location then you will be painfully disappointed. I was the latter group so count me disappointed.

I was only in town for a couple of days, so I didn't really have a need for a huge grocery store shopping haul. But, I enjoyed my experience at this Whole Foods location. Let's start with the parking garage. I am a rural girl, so there aren't a lot of parking garages where I am from. And, when we do find one in the bigger cities, they aren't a great situation. This parking garage however was clean, seemed very safe. There were also lights descending from the ceiling that flashed red or green whether there was a spot open or not. So, so helpful and smart. If all parking garages were this user-friendly, I would have no problem with them when driving to the city. I was also pleasantly surprised by the escalator that ran from the parking garage level all the way up to the store level. I was expecting to have to ride a yucky, dirty small elevator (see aforementioned parking garages). Like I said, it's all about safety. So. from your parking spot (depending on the spot), once you get inside the doors, you are basically in the store. It's not like you are navigating sketchy stairwells or anything like that. Again, I wasn't really needing groceries, but I was enjoying exploring the store, looking for local specialities, people watching. I picked up some ice-cream from a brand that I cannot get in my hometown. I also decided to check out some of the bakery items. I don't know the exact name of it, but I picked up some sort of mousse tart. Sadly, the tart didn't quite make it back to the hotel in tact, it sort of rolled around and turned all topsy-turvy. That was probably my bad, though, for picking too large of a box. But...it was delicious. Very, very delicious. One of the best desserts I have had in a long time. It was fluffy, sweet but not overly sweet, just sort of melted in your mouth. I actually think about it from time to time. Pretty often, actually. I know it may sound silly, but I would certainly recommend a trip to this Whole Foods location to anyone in the area. It could be a fun experience.

Happened to stop into the Whole Foods on North Lamar, and was blown away by this location! An Austinite said that this was Store #1... It didn't disappoint! You can grab a great lunch during your visit here. I have been to many Whole Foods, this one was definitely unique!

Went to Whole Foods Lamar as they are my "go to" grocery store. Since I live out of the city, I like to bag my own groceries as I have to add the complementary ice to preserve my milk, frozen food, greens, etc. Today, I was at a register and I told AMBER I wanted to bag my own, she moved away. When cashier was done checking me out, he was told to shut down his register and he put up a lane closed sign. I finished bagging my stuff and was at the ice chest with 2 of my 3 bags when I hear the woman, AMBER, say to another cashier and some customers who were being checked out " that woman who wanted to bag her own forgot one of her bags, ha ha ha ha ha". I turned around and said "I am behind you, I was getting ice". She shut up. Suggestion to the new "woke" dimwit working at Whole Foods, wait 45 minutes before you open your discriminatory mouth to make fun of the customers as the people who support your grocery store might over hear you. People like me who drive in 45 minutes for groceries and never support the likes of HEB do not appreciate people like you who are so petty that you speak about us when you think we are gone. That attitude was NEVER allowed at Whole Foods.in the past. Sad to know that their standards are going down the toilet. I expect that from HEB but never my Whole Foods.

Cool place to shop and visit. It has a great selection. Easy in the store and out. Definitely worth visiting and shopping.

Even during Covid, a fun place to shop. Lots of pre-prepared foods, along with excellent produce. I love getting bacon and sausage here, along with different cuts of meat. Clearly not a discount shopping experience, but for the most part I think the prices are reasonable given the quality of the food/grocery items. Great delivery, with lots of free slots if you don’t want go into the store.

I was living in austin, tx in May to August and went to whole foods many times to eat lunch, and use wifi connection, the employees are obsessed with telling you to wear the mask, they don't really care about social distancing and that is just as important. Also, the girl in the Florist Department who works there was screaming at me about the mask and was yelling that she was calling the POLICE and i would never come to that store again, i don't live in austin, texas i am a visitor.....!!!!!!! Is she crazy!!!! Then she had tatoos all over her body, her arms were covered with these tatoos and she had jewlery all over her face and nose. She was out of control then i started to yell at her because i felt as though she was getting away with too much. Then i left and they did call the police, there is no reason for those people to act that way. SHE should be fired from her Job for mistreating a customer like that. Next time i went to Whole Foods the manager approached me and said I was never allowed in that store again because of the way i spoke to his employee. Younger people are more than rude in Whole Foods that work there, i am a 60 yr old woman and they TOTALLY OFFENDED ME!!!!!!!!

My partner and I picked up supper here tonight. Out in the parking lot, there’s a high curb (18 inches?) that borders the sidewalk near the car charging station. Coming from the high side of the curb, it is not marked and there is no rail or other precaution. My partner stepped off the curb in the dark and took a bad fall down into the parking lot. Luckily he does not seem to be seriously hurt but the next person may not be so lucky. FIX IT NOW!!!

We went here to pick up a few things while traveling through Austin a bit. We were really impressed with the way the store was well managed and organized.

Maybe if you live somewhere where you have your own you would be less impressed but for us, in our month long stay, it was a destination. several choices of meals to eat there or take home, an in house wine bar/ beer service with many choices. Tons of choice for just about every product. Close to all sorts of other things so an easy stop (for us) on the way home.

lots of variety in terms of precooked foods. We were delighted by the vats of olive oil and balsamic that you can self-serve for whatever volume you like. Can also grind your own nut-butters. Fresh and fab produce, good cheese selection.
