Tarka has been a staple for me for over 10 years. While it may not be the most traditional or authentic Indian food, it is very very tasty and a great value. If you have a friend you want to introduce to Indian food, this is a great option. I have turned a lot of people on to Indian food by starting with Tarka first. Spice level is generally mild as a base and you can get it hotter, though even then it's generally mild in spice compared to more traditional Indian food.

Love Tarka! It's our go-to place for Northern Indian after having lived in Delhi. The samosa chaat is one of my favs although everything is good. And I love the ability to order side dishes including the yummy sauces. We always order extra so we can eat it the next day too!

Vegetarian options: The options for vegetarian protein dishes are plentiful and I especially like that pakoras are gluten free since they are battered with a bean/legume flour.

Always good. Consistency is so important for any restaurant. Lose two star because the lamb chunks were overcooked with no fat left. Hydrating them in sauce is not a solution. But overall a good place to eat.
