Got delivery, food was clearly frozen and partially microwaved with some of it still being cold inside. Overall pretty inedible

Came in for take out at this small Indian restaurant someone recommended. The staff told me where to wait for my order, on one the tables nearby, then eventually gave me a bag sealed with my food inside. Once I got to my hotel there were no utensils in the bag. How does this happen? Why not tell the customer if they need to ask for utensils? Or if there is a place to get those? Or better yet, just put those in the bag if you are going to seal it. Sealing it gives the impression everything you need is already inside. The food was ok, not a lot of vegetables in any of the three items I ordered.

Great vegetarian options. Fresh, delicious, real food.

The food just smells so fragrant and tastes amazing! I love the samosas and tikka masala ! As someone else noted below, I was not given any utensils for my takeout. What’s going on? Cmon!

I ordered two Tikka Masala Curry with chicken, one for myself and one for my partner. That night after eating we both started feeling very sick. We went on a walk to hopefully settle our stomachs, but when we came home we were feeling even worse. We both ended up throwing up that night as well as the next afternoon. We are shaky and not hungry at all. I have not had this bad food poisoning in years. I will not be back to this location. Looking at the reviews on their google page I see this is a common occurrence and suggest people stay away as well.

Biryani was good but very spicy.

I ordered takeout and had a horrible bout of food poisoning. I’ve eaten here many times over the years, but have never had a reaction like that. Won’t be coming back.

Thank you for promoting the Indian culture of eating curry and rice with bare hands! I was disappointed and desperate at first when I arrived to my job and started having my dinner only to find out they did not provide utensils. But once I get used to eating with bare hands I realized this must be the proper way to have curry! Keep up the good work and don't give utensils to customers anymore! Much love💛

Best Indian food in town. My wife and I eat here at least twice per week. I highly recommend the lamb kabob platter. The Saag Paneer is great. The coconut curry goes great with shrimp or paneer imo. The pakora is always crispy and fresh. Very clean. The city of Austin recognizes Tarka as a green restaurant. Don't forget to tip even though it's fast food. They bring out your food and clean up after you eat.

Vegetarian options: Aloo Gobi. Daal Tarka. Daal Makhani and so much more!!

Most reliable Indian food. Taste has not changed for over 5 years. That's good and bad.

Kofta korma with naan or roti is great. It's mild and flavorful.
Samosa chat has always been nice.
Pakoda is also nice.
Breads can be better. It's ok.
Biryani is not at all nice.
Saag paneer is not nice.
Paneer can be softer fresher.
Paneer curries are ok.

I have been traveling, but tea here is worst, and it was cold when I told the guy he said it's only one hour to close, and we could not make tea again. The curry I had was more tangy (citrus) than expected. We also ordered vegetable biriani it was not cooked properly, and was like rice mixed with curry and vegetables.
