Had not been there in over twenty years and was positively floored by the changes to the inside! I will be back. It was a blast from the past with a new bar feel. The customers were friendly and engaged in conversation that was very nice. The staff was great as well.

Really nice staff and free pool are big qualities of this place. Food is ok but the air filters must not be working as my group could only stay for 20 minutes till we started coughing allot. Definitely understand smoking bars but I would love to come more often if there was a non smoking area, they probably be making a killing if they could figure this out

I have an allergy to black pepper, I had ordered a Turkey Sub, With tator tots, grilled chicken no seasoning (which isn't a huge deal since I'm not the one eating it) roommate finds the seasoning to be to much to handle at times because of the black peppers spiciness then I ordered the fully loaded nachos. I had asked for no lettuce or tomatoes onto just plain ground beef no salt nor black pepper, nacho cheese shredded cheese then the ground beef they had taken it back returned with the remake (Being allergic I always have to make sure otherwise) when I had checked it the ground beef was absolutely covered in black pepper. I break out & my face gets red I start to get itchy then I get nauseous & start vomiting. When I brought up the issue to the person who claimed to be the owner they started to gradually but quickly start getting upset making rude comments & disregarding my allergy & gaslighting me saying there wasn't any seasoning on it when there clearly was. They told me you shouldn't eat anywhere if I have an allergy, & that I always caused issues. This is the second time they has done this to me, but I paid for the nachos; last time it was just the fries. I showed it to them & they refused to fix it so I gave it away. Not a big deal since the fries come free depending on what you order, when I tried to bring up the concern they got even more upset grabbed my nachos & threw it in the trash along with my grilled chicken & turkey club which had no black pepper. Then proceeded to tell me to "get the eff out" then threw my beer when I tried to talk to them again. I love going there and the people are nice & the environment is very chill food isn't overpriced like at some bars the employees are even cool enough to drink with the customers given it was offered to them. But that had to be the worst experience I have ever had, they made me feel like they didn't care, & that my allergy wasn't important. I am in the world of hopefully building a legal case against the owner for the blatant lack of accomodation towards the end. I don't bother anyone, I don't talk to anyone either. I keep to myself, I sit down, ask for a Lonestar then put my earbuds in my ears; jamming & vibing with by myself only ever talking when I want another Lonestar or if I am getting food, that person is the only one I have ever had an issue with. Everybody else was really nice & patient with me. I feel bad enough already having to be so specific about my allergy which is not at all common nor in the top 10 for serious allergies. How can they treat people like that?
When I was escorted they employee told me what they say goes & to drop it, I was so upset but I didn't want to say anything I would regret because I enjoy giving my business. That is where I often went to decompress & just get lost to my music & not have to think about what may be going on in my life. To get away from my stress & relax playing pool or just the rare occasions when I would talk to a customer & laughing. Don't understand, if that person really is the owner they are in incompetent one and should never work with people that often. This person was supposedley a therapist, I already have mental disabilities & deal with a number of things; only to learn this person talked to people for a living at one point? Can imagine how that makes me feel considering I see a therapist to talk about things going on in my life. Thanks A Lot Texas Bar & Grill, once I get a case going I hope you are prepared for the consequences. You cannot treat people that way, it isn't fair to anyone with an allergy no matter the severity. Love your food, love the environment, I enjoy the people. Didn't enjoy being treated like I didn't matter when it came to my allergy. Hope you read this & try to understand I don't like causing issues for people I am always calm, polite & level headed. Please do better in the future, thank you.
