Don’t get meat anywhere else. Enter as a customer, leave with new friends. I’ve never felt more welcomed in a place of business. They have a great little table that they invited me to sit at. My wife and I sat there for an hour, listening to music and talking about food. The staff were incredible. Ok, ok, I know you are here to hear about the food. I bought two tomahawk steaks (8 pounds of Texas Ranch certified beef!) and a bottle of wine and we didn’t have a single bite left! Perfect marbling and smoked up just right. I won’t go anywhere else in Austin for my meat and that says a lot! Go visit them asap!

I had a great first visit here! I was looking for local beef and organs meats and they have it all! Great quality and the staff was helpful, friendly, and helped me find what I was looking for! I’ll be back, just have to work around my work schedule with their operation hours, would love to see additional hours added! :)

Love, love, love Texas Beef Traders!!! Everyone in there is so nice and informative! I am having a blast trying all different cuts of beef! The BEST beef!!!! And the Bone Marrow - WoW! It is our go to for Beef! I love the new Fresh cuts, also! I stock up when I go. If I had the room I would buy a whole cow or half cow! I am so thankful they are here so I don’t have to do that! Can’t wait to try the new wines!!! Thanks guys! I always appreciate your help and info! Everything we have had is amazing!!!!

If you are scanning through Google maps looking for butcher’s services stop now and head in to Texas Beef Traders. I recently needed some quality beef tallow for a new technique for cold smoking steaks. I popped into the shop and was met by a very knowledgeable and helpful individual, Shea Dow.The staff here are very knowledgeable about the cuts and what to do with them. When you buy from Texas Beef Traders, you are getting Local Texas Beef and I can attest to the quality of the cuts.Our menu called for bone marrow appetizers which came precut (long ways so you can serve in the bone rather than medallions) and wrapped. After all nothing kills your appetite like losing a finger or two to a band saw trying to cut your own.Our next requirement was a collection of steaks according to taste. My wife and mother wanted fillets and my father and I wanted some tomahawks. All the meat here is dry aged and you can taste it in the final product. Rich reds and purples color these cuts and the quality of the source is readily apparent. No overly fatty cuts were present, and you get a great selection of sizes.If there is something you want that is more exotic just ask at the counter and they will take care of you.Prices are great, selection is on point, and quality through the roof.
