Piling on with the positive reviews. I use to get my “good coffee” from organic grocers and coffee shops but I can’t ever be too sure of the freshness date. Came to Texas Coffee Traders and I don’t think I’m going back!
Nice to have a knowledgeable person behind the counter to share advice and recommendations. They’ve also told me when they’re getting certain beans! For each bag of coffee, I also get a free cup … icing on the cake!

Good beans at a good price
Hidden gem of a coffee retail shop selling fresh roasted beans and coffees to go. We bought one bag of flavored beans while visiting Austin recently. They offer a large selection of flavored beans, marketed as naturally flavored, which is great since other flavored beans are often artificially flavored. If we were local, we'd stop in more often.
I was treated very well here - so I gave a big tip!

I had a disappointing experience at your coffee shop due to an issue with the payment system and poor customer service. When I ordered a drip coffee, I was initially charged $2.50 and added a $1 tip. However, the barista then informed me that only $2 had been charged to my gift card, leaving $1 remaining. When I attempted to pay the remaining balance, I was charged an additional $2.50, resulting in a total charge of $4.50 for a $2.50 coffee.
After pointing out this discrepancy and showing the barista my phone as proof that I had been double charged, she seemed unable to grasp the issue. Instead of investigating the problem or offering a refund, she simply stated that it was out of her control and that I would need to contact my bank.
While I understand that $2.50 may not seem like a large sum, the lack of clarity in your pricing, the flaws in your payment system, and the unhelpful attitude of your staff left me feeling overcharged and undervalued as a customer. This experience soured what should have been a simple, pleasant coffee break.
I hope you will look into this matter, rectify the issues with your payment process, and provide additional training to your staff on handling customer concerns with empathy and professionalism. Until then, I cannot in good conscience provide a five-star rating, as the service I received fell far short of my expectations.

I found a bag of this SENSATIONAL coffee at the Blanton Museum of Art. It lasted one week. I called Texas Coffee Traders in Austin and staff made my special Blanton Blend and I received it in less than three days (not counting America's Independence). I enjoy this coffee so much. I cannot wait to return to Austin to drink and eat at Texas Coffee Traders. I will purchase more coffee for the ones I love. THANKYOU TEXAS COFFEE TRADERS! You make my Texas heart grateful.

I go here like almost every morning. Coffee is some of the best in ATX. Thank you for valuing the craft of making a good strong drip coffee!

I bought what was supposed to be fresh roasted coffee and it was not fresh roasted. I had to switch filters on expresso machine to use the double filter. I bought 5 pounds and threw most of it away. Flavor was also awful.

I am posting this because I never seen no one at this place Texas trader coffee whatever it is they’ve been there for a while. They live right behind them. They have two dumpsters outside of their fence and I’m fed up with every day. I get home from work. I have to pick up trash in my yard in the street in front of my house because someone comes and plays in their trash cans and looking for some to eat or just digging the trash taking deep and all the trash out of the dumpster. I do not know why they cannot get a lock on that, never talk to anybody cause you never see anybody there the place is always empty so because tired of picking up trash every day, these people was like they don’t care move into the neighborhood. Don’t come check on it or anything.

lol, imagine being a coffee shop and opening at 9 AM ?
What a find!
We bought all kinds of loose leaf tea- absolutely loved being able to buy in smaller quantities to try multiple flavors.
We also loved their espresso and syrup flavor variety- delicious Americanos at a steal of a price=love!
Amazing coffee, phenomenal service, and the loose leaf tea selection is incredible! I can't wait to come back :)

I’ve been exploring coffee shops on the east side, but I continually go to this one. It’s delicious! The service is kind. The prices are fair. I like the outside atmosphere as well.
