Sub par at best. Cute place and location. The drinks and beers were a bit watery.
We were really looking forward to dining here, as it was our first time visiting. Upon arrival, we approached the bar to ask how the ordering process worked. Unfortunately, the man behind the bar (wearing glasses) was unnecessarily rude and condescending.
He looked my husband up and down and asked sarcastically, “Did you see the little QR code?” — as if we were being foolish for asking a simple question. My husband had the sake menu in his hand and politely explained that it was all he had picked up. Still, the bartender continued to speak to us in a dismissive, patronizing tone.
If the process is self-service or QR-based, that’s totally fine — but a proper response would’ve been something like: “Welcome! Yes, we do serve food — here’s the menu, and you can access it through this QR code.” There was absolutely no need for the attitude.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable in hospitality. He should not be in a customer-facing role if he can’t treat guests with basic courtesy and respect
Jerry with his sake mixed drink creations and locally distilled Sake are phenomenal! Pair it with a Sushi Co 5pc handroll set and you’ll be… SETTT
(Thank me later😉)
Great vibe, AMAZING food and sake, service is great!
The customer service is disappointing. It’s our 1st time here and the crew are so unhelpful from ordering to serving. We ordered handrolls as a side to our drink but we can’t go anywhere the tables bec it needs to be in front of the bar. The taste has no difference from freshly made than other japanese restaurants who serve handroll sushi. We will never go back to this place and will never recommend.
The vibes are great. The sake, not so much. I’d recommend only getting the imported Japanese sake, as every single sake of their house-made versions was not good.
The staff is very nice, and it sounded like folks enjoy the handrolls they make here.
It’s a great setting and fun atmosphere for a big group — not at all pretentious.
But the sake has some work.
First and last time going here. The service was horrible and the staff was just WEIRD, and not in a good way. Oh, the Texas Flight of sake, sucked!!! Don't waste your time or money here. I have no idea how this place managed 4.7 stars (smh).
A unique twist on sake. Fantastic Catsu sandwich paired with a rice Belgian lager. Cool ambience, too.
Place has gone down hill. The quality is severely lacking.
So, I will tell you, as a Japanese American I was kind of leery about "Texas Sake," in general, and unfortunately my negative thoughts were correct, I am unsure if they use the wrong rice to make the Sake, or the water quality isn't good, but literally none of the sake they produce is any good, in fact, quite gross. I know that sounds dramatic, but I tried all of their sake, and didn't take more than a sip of each, they all have a bad taste and after taste.
Not recommended, HOWEVER, the food was very delicious and when paired with imported sake, made the visit okay.

Loved the vibe here on a Sunday. Food offerings were spectacular. Drinks were cold (or hot) and satisfying. Looking forward to trying more on tap
Had the omakase with the sake paring. Both the food and sake were really good. The service was great as well, everyone was knowledgeable and fun to talk to.
I did the omakase collaboration with Texas Sushiko and was very impressed by the cocktail pairing. The sake negroni stood out as my favorite, and Jeremiah did an excellent job explaining the cocktails. I'll be back.
I've had plenty of saké, but none quite like this! They brew their own saké, in house, to perfection, as well as import some really fine saké. Tried their saké bomb which was a shot of their own saké dropped into a rice lager that they make (which is also incredible). Also tried two unique drinks that I doubt you could find anywhere else: a dairy free saké based eggnog and a rice beer Oktoberfest style. If you make it in time for these seasonal drinks, they are well worth the money! Cute space, welcoming staff. Big shout out to Pete for being a very informative, helpful, and kind bartender! He really made the whole experience 10x better.
Some of the smoothest Saké I have EVER tasted. The flights are well worth it and oooh, the Saké slushies are AWESOME!!
