A local favorite for many in the area, serving classic Tex-mex dishes that are delicious. The atmosphere could use a refresh. It was dark inside in the early afternoon. Dim lighting. Opening up the blinds to let the natural light in would be a great, inexpensive way to get an immediate ambiance upgrade.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Texican Cafe. The outside is relatively unassuming, but the interior has a nice atmosphere to it that feels comfy. Our server wasn't the most friendly, but he was very accommodating and quick. I had the beef fajita compuestos which were surprisingly delicious. I'd recommend this location and come here again!
Go to spot for quick, good Tex Mex! It’s a little run down inside, but most good Tex mex restaurants are. They have a very large menu with good lunch specials at reasonable prices. Chips and salsa are fresh. I enjoy going for a quick lunch a few times a month.
