Authentic Hawaiian food. The Kahlua pork is juicy and flavorful. The poké is authentic to the traditional Hawaiian style. The owners are super friendly. Aloha and mahalo!

I've had a lot of poke in my day and this is some top-notch poke. You can't customize it the way you do at a number of other places, but that doesn't matter because it's perfect as-is. My friend had the chicken katsu and that was delicious as well. I live right around the corner from this place and will definitely be back. Mark is from Maui and said his family has been doing this for a long time and you can taste it. Go. Stop reading reviews and just go.

This place showed up on yelp close to the office I'm working at and I decided to give it a try because I just went to Hawaii last month. I have to say I don't regret one choosing this place for lunch at all. It's in a parking lot of a gas station next to 2 other food trucks so if you come with a group of people there's a variety there (Hawaiian truck, Vietnamese truck, and tea truck). I ordered the poke plate with Mac salad as my side and when I brought it back to the office and opened it up it smelled so good! I thought portion was good I only ate half of everything. I tried to stuff myself but honestly I couldn't even. The tuna was cute in huge chunks which is how I remembered it in Hawaii as well, seasoning was a bit salty for me but it the mayo they put on the side helped balance it out a bit. I really like the Mac salad too! Even for the poke being a bit salty I still give them 5 stars for really friendly service and presentation. Overall poke plate was great I would get it again. I can't wait to come back next time and try the other entrees too.

100% highly recommend! This one of my favorite food trucks in austin and my FAVORITE poke and hawaiian cuisine! Everything tastes so fresh and light and the flavors are on point. the portion size is also great with an lovely salad. The owner is also a true hawaiin chef! Please check this place out in the summer.

As good as it gets. Poke is fresh, the owner is awesome, and the prices are reasonable. Will be back.

Best poke' in town. Perfect seasoning, flavors and temperature of fish. These folks know how to do it, probably because they are from Hawaii. I could eat this everyday. I've tried a bunch of other poke' places in town but always end up back here. So nice to have them back in the neighborhood!

Furthermore, their loco moco breakfast is really solid. I've spoken with the owner a few times and he's a really solid guy, happy to tell you about any dish on the menu.

Just a DC local visiting Austin for a week. It's been a long and great food adventure and at the end of the road, the Big Kahuna. Hands down my fave stop in my entire trip. The big Kahuna is a food truck right outside of a gas station parking lot. Yes it is not a fancy sit down place with a/c. Hell, the seating is literally right next to 3 dumpsters. However, the Big Kahuna's food tells a different tale. As stated above, the Big Kahuna is my favorite place in Austin. The portions are more than generous, the food is fresh and tastes absolutely incredible. Don't be intimidated by their menu, inquire and try whatever you can. As someone who loves trying everything, I ordered a loco moco, tuna poke, and a side of Kailua pork( Hawaiian pulled pork, my girlfriend and I agreed that it was just as good if not better than Le Barbecue's pulled pork). My total racked up to about $26 which is really not that much considering I paid $34 for a duck breast at Wink the other night. They also throw in a water bottle for free with your meal, I've seen water bottles go for as high as $3 at some food trucks. The Big Kahuna is a great food truck and deserves more recognition. The food is absolutely delicious. It's a prime example of great food being in a remote location.

Great place that needs some more press. Tasty food with friendly people. Poke Ono: Expensive and excellent, and the #1 dish they serve. The cost is market price (~$14) and is definitely worth it if you like poke. (I'm not the most experienced when it comes to Hawaiin food, but I could say it was definitely very good) Had tons of tuna in it, more than the pictures let on. Slighty fatty tuna with some well seasoned veggies to cut the heavy flavors. For sides, the white rice comes with it, and I got the ginger macaroni. Tasty, but the owner was right when he mentioned it's a little heavy to have 2 carbs for sides. Mark, said owner, was very friendly and informative as it was my first there, even giving me a bottle of water on the house. He's definitely got himself a repeat customer in the future

Maybe the high reviews are for the poke which I did not get because this was very mediocre Hawaiian food. I chalk this up to Texans not being familiar with authentic Hawaiian food. Go to Hawaii and you will quickly know what I am talking about. We drove 30 min given the reviews on a Friday night to give it a try but they were sold out of a lot of the items we wanted. I had the broke da mouth plate and the sauce was good but once I got down to the chicken bone some of the meat was frozen which turned me off on all of it. Service was great though!
