The Boiling Crab

The crawfish was a good size and cooked extremely well, I like that all of their seafood comes out at the different times it takes to cook them well. That makes sure that all of the seafood is cooked to perfection and the sauce is always on point as well. My favorite seafood boil in Austin, and I’ve tried them all!

My go to Crawfish place! First time i tried it was in Dallas, and was so excited to find out they were opening in Austin. Its so juicy with alot of sauce. Waiters are always kind, they always check on you to see if you need anything. Best place in Austin for a seafood boil

I decided to check out The Boiling Crab on my own, and I’m really glad I did. First off, the quality of the seafood stood out immediately. At a lot of other places, you end up getting skinny crab legs or small shrimp that feel like an afterthought — but not here. Everything was a solid, satisfying size and clearly fresh. You could tell they don’t cut corners on portions or quality.

The service was also great. There was a bit of a wait when I arrived, but it honestly felt fast because the staff kept things moving efficiently. Once I was seated, I got everything I ordered quickly, and the whole process felt smooth. The team clearly knows what they’re doing — organized, attentive, and on top of things without being overwhelming.

Overall, it was a really good experience. Good food, good portions, and efficient service. Definitely worth the visit, and I’d come back again.

We drove about an hour to eat here on a Friday night and waited about 45 minutes, not the restaurants fault it was busy. By the time we were seated we were a little worn out.

Once we sat down Sabrina took care of us and completely turned the night around. Her timing was perfect. She didn’t hover, gave us space to enjoy our food, and checked in at just the right moments. Drinks were refilled without us asking, and she made sure we had everything we needed without interrupting the experience.

Service like that makes a big difference after a long drive and wait. Sabrina was professional, attentive, and made the experience smooth from start to finish.

If you visit, ask for Sabrina she’s excellent at what she does.

Erin was the best server ever. She was juggling so many tables and never missed a beat. I wish they didn’t have tip share because she deserved the whole tip for sure. Will definitely ask for her when I come back.

I ordered 1 pound of blue crab and 1 pound of shrimp with an order of corn and an order of potatoes in garlic mild sauce.... I thought I was getting charged for crab legs- got 2 whole crabs with very little meat on the legs 🥺🥺 so I could not enjoy my order
I really enjoyed the shrimp, but was expecting more from the flavor.

I’m extremely disappointed in this place! I went for a birthday trip while I was pregnant and I ordered a seafood boil! Not even a couple hours later I gotten food poisoning! Idk if they were serving old food or what but I was in so much pain and had diarrhea and throwing up plus more the entire trip! Super upset I never got a refund! I’m just glad my baby was okay! Never going back here!

Mr brooks was amazing!! He checked on us accordingly and his service was so awesome with his funny personality he was the sweetest! If i come back here i will request him as our server! His service was just over and beyond he even came outside and goodbye you don’t see service like this anymore! My mom who is hard on all servers loved him she was very impressed. He gave us so many recommendations on what to do with the seafood and how to heat up! Funny sweet guy 10/10
