Probably one of the worst fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had in Austin. I’m only 50% certain it’s real chicken. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff seemed friendly.

We were originally going to Mandola's across the parking lot, but since I had not been to the Brass Tap, we decided to come here instead. The place appears new, clean and has quite a lot of outdoor seating. They have an impressive tap wall along with a full bar. We popped in here on a Thursday at 2 PM when you can still find parking and the place was basically empty. We got the vegan nachos with the impossible beef (fake meat) along with the fish and chips. The wife loved her nachos with the fresh sliced jalapeños, but my fish 'n chips were good, just not great. The salsa that accompanied the nachos may as well have been chunky ketchup, not good. The chips were out of a bag, and there was more batter than fish. It's possible some of the other menu items might be better. The service was good and the bathrooms are clean and modern. If you are a sports bar fan, they have at least eight flat screens tuned to sports channels. My personal take away is to come and enjoy their great selection of beer and then walk across the parking lot to Mandola's where you'll have a better meal. Check out the photos below for more info.

Nice neighborhood local pub with food. We ordered wine and beer and got the hot honey pepperoni pizza. The vibes were good and there was a decent amount of people there, they started bingo at night too.

My partner and I decided to go to The Brass Tap for a WhistlePig Whiskey Dinner, and it was beyond our expectations! They served a spicy chicken and waffles, with whiskey infused whipped cream on top that was to die for! So delicious! The atmosphere was a lot of fun, but laid back. After we had finished dinner, there was a music "name that song" bingo that we also really enjoyed. We unfortunately didn't win, but the experience was so great that we are considering joining for a whiskey dinner once a month. The bartenders and servers are super friendly and will have you laughing. Definitely try this out!

Brass Tap was great for our Friday evening dinner. The pretzel appetizer and burger entrees were delicious. The service was quick and the brewery vibe is nice with good music and lots of TVs to watch sports.

Service is mediocre by waitstaff, look like they would rather be elsewhere and don't check in often. Food is average, can be good but nothing increíble. Have been 0/2 on past couple of games, one being NFL and the other being NCAA men's basketball. Biggest pro is there is good open space

This place was great, they had 60+ draft beers available, I ordered the St. Elmo Gary and it was lovely! Lots of bar seating, high top tables, and some outdoor seating as well. I think this would be great for a large group trying to find somewhere to gather. My biggest compliment is to the bartender that took care of me, I think her name was Shannon. I only ordered one beer and closed out, but she still checked in on me a couple times and really made me feel at home.

I really, really want to like this place. But, it's just a bland and sterile corporate, cookie-cutter pub with no personality. Which is ironic, because the bar that was here before Brass Tap was a chain. But that corporate chain had personality, warmth and charm you want in a pub. This place is like going to the food court in a mall. With the exception of one server, the staff are indifferent and rude Zillenials who can't wait until closing time. On one visit, with about 2 hours until close, the staff started sweeping and mopping around us and asked us to finish our drinks so they could "leave on time." I had the fish and chips on one visit and the loaded tots on another. The servings are small, almost kid's menu sized, and is mediocre at best. And the menus make you feel like you are ordering from an Applebee's or Red Robin. Giving this 3 stars is generous. It's really an unfriendly place. The only thing it has going for it is the large beer selection. But the prices are outrageous. Beers are several buck more than other places in the neighborhood.

Went on a Saturday at opening. Had two super friendly bartenders who offered suggestions and checked on me regularly. Honestly one of the best bar experiences I've had in a while. Will be back for sure.

Worst environment ever, very unwelcoming - we walked in at 9:30 and the bartender was super weird/staring at us like they were about to close or something and we were immediately asked for our IDs (we are 23) before we even ordered drinks, even though its also supposed to be a restaurant. Anyways when we ordered a few minutes later we were asked again for our IDs and bartender kept calling us honey acting like we were children. Anyways the drinks were decent and we were trying to turn the vibe around but then an argument broke out. 2 men were really upset because they were over charged and respectfully were trying to work it out and the bartender said "lets take this outside" even though they werent raising their voices at all. Overall super weird vibes, I felt like I was in a bad SNL skit. We chugged our drinks and got out of there

Management should advertise trivia to the apartments upstairs! We need more people attending. Otherwise a great bar.

Great bar, nice selection of beers, excellent menu with good fish and chips. Managers are super cool. Some are from the former Domain location, which I was a regular 2 years ago.
