How this joint managed to brown the outside of my quesadilla while not melting the shredded cheese is quite the feat. What crackpot sorcery is this?!? Uber eats would not refund for that portion of the meal. Only 40% of the quesadilla was able to make it to mouth because NEWSFLASH - THE MELTED CHEESE IS THE GLUE THAT HOLDS IT ALL together. 60% ended up in my lap, couch and eventually trash can as the taste wasn't worth the mess. That's what I get for ordering CALImex in TEXAS I suppose.

Not 1, but 2 chicken bones in my burrito, and it was cold.. like been refrigerated cold. It was a delivery. Also the chicken was bland.

Probably the most dry, unseasoned, bland tasting Quesadilla I've ever had. It doesn't come with sauce so you have to order a side. I honestly don't know how you mess up cooking a quesadilla but they found a way.

Literally no restaurant here, just a Uber eats hub??
Foodwise; a nostalgic experience for me. This is what I expect from the places back in San Diego CA. Fantastic! Don't expect person to person here. Not that kind of place.

My favorite taco is the classic California street taco. Was disappointed with the “Tex-Mex” style. I’m so glad I found “Cali-Mex” it’s definitely my go to when I want tacos.

Ordered carne asada fríes and The amount of meat they gave me was a joke. I can go to a real Mexican restaurant and get my moneys worth.
This place has AMAZING açaí bowls! Really great food with generous portions.
Finally! A California taco! So many of us native Californians live in Austin now and out of the hundreds of tacos in Austin, not one is a real delicious taco in my opinion. Until now. Crispy, full of flavor with the meat, cheese and onions. Best tacos in Austin, by far. Thank you Calimex Cafe for bringing the taste of California-style Mexican food to Austin. Can’t wait to try your other dishes!
I had the California breakfast burrito. Awesome with the fries, great flavor combo and very filling. Worth every buck! I will be back
