lu was an amazing server and and made our experience better. can’t wait to come back and dine with them again
Even after booking the slot, they ask you to wait until the entire party arrives. If one person is late by even by minutes, entire group has to wait. No concession to order for the member who is late even though we requested to order food for them. Food is mediocre given how much it is hyped. Passive aggressive guy at the reception
Good interiors and ambience for sure.
Terrible service!
The chicken tikka masala was delicious. The wait staff was attentive and helpful with recommendations. Great place if you are a foodie!
Excellent food! The Goan Nariyal curry was exquisite! Will come back again for sure.
Food was absolutely delicious-one of the best meals we have had in a long while. The tikka taquitos were a delicious appetizer, and my entree, the Khuroosh E Tursh, was fantastic. Paired with garlic naan and a glass of wine, it was a fabulous meal. My hisband thoroughly enjoyed the gooat saag. Service was equally impressive- Hagen was attentive but not overbearing, and he made several great suggestions. Will definitely be back!
Hagen was amazing and the food fantastic!
Since moving from Austin I haven’t had good Indian cuisine in a while. My husband and I were staying at a hotel near by and while walking (2 blocks over) to a parking garage we smelled this place! We went back for lunch and wow!! It was amazing. A must! Also, the best calamari I’ve ever had! Very excited to go back.
I ordered the Lunch Jeera Saag Bowl—wow, it was fantastic! The garlic naan bread was the best I've ever had. I loved the atmosphere, but the service was just okay—not very friendly.

Had dinner there with family for grandson’s birthday. Service was great!
Poor service, mediocre food. We had a party of 6 and our waitress provided very poor service. Not friendly and we had to ask her multiple times to refill our waters. She didn’t seem overwhelmed and spent a lot of time at other tables. It was a long wait time to get our food and she never checked back until we raised our hands.
In the end, she never brought us our check after we waited a long time. We started walking out and she just looked at us and went in the kitchen. We asked the host about our bill and she came out. Not apologetic.
What was more frustrating was that the tip was already included since we were a party of 6. That explained a lot since she didn’t have to provide good service for us as tip was included.
We used to like Clay Pit, but won’t be going back due to this experience.

Really delicious, and flavorful. There's a great bar area with high tops that are seat yourself. The wait can get long but there is full service in the bar area. The menu is classic, well done dishes. Samosas with tamarind sauce are excellent and I can't go here without getting the tikka masala. The naan is chewy and piping hot. We love coming here and ordering several dishes to share. We always try at least one new thing and are never disappointed. There's a solid happy hour too!

I only ventured to Clay Pit because its online menu made it sound like they had way more vegan options than they did after I asked the staff when I was ordering. For instance, the online lunch menu literally reads, "(vegan when prepared with vegetables)" in its description for their lunch vindaloo bowl. But the waitstaff checked with the chef, who said they add cream to the red sauce, which cannot be removed. The only lunch menu item that was definitely vegan was the yellow daal bowl. The lunch "specials" are priced the same as the corresponding dinner items, and the lunch portion sizes are smaller but come with a salad. I ended up getting the channa masala, but that's a pretty standard Indian restaurant dish that usually is vegan. The vegetable pakora is like an Indian vegetable tempura with a mint chutney dipping sauce. At least the food was flavorful, and the ambiance was pleasant.
