Such a shame. Great bar generally. I was asked to move my feet once. So I did. A lady claiming to be the manager came over and asked again so I did a second time. However she took umbrage and told me to leave. I asked why as I respected what I was asked both times. Not impressed. Almost all my reviews are 5 stars. This is the very first lower review. Such a shame. All the other staff were excellent.

She also failed to identify. Was not reasonable. I have been around the block enough to know a power trip when I see one.

Such a shame. Otherwise excellent bar.

Just got kicked out since I was walking funny and the girl behind me said I was too drunk and had to leave but I’m sober and just have scoliosis? So rude I’ve never been treated this badly in my life.

EDIT (response to manager): you’re not bound by HIPAA you have my written and express permission to release CCTV footage (I’m sure you have cameras) or provide an alternate account. It’s exactly what happened.

Dropped in for a pint at this Irish pub on 6th Street in Austin one early evening. Quick, friendly service. Asked a guy standing outside if he ever heard of this place and he answered that he was visiting from Ireland and stopped by, SO they must be the real deal😁. Fun, lively place.

A bummer. Came here after dinner to have a pint and to compare it to the OG NYC bar, but the bartender made fun of my speech impediment and said I was too drunk to be served. Not surprised it was empty. Texas remains an embarrassment to the Union and takes another L

I happened not to order any food (I went there mainly for the drinks and being an Irish Pub), and stayed at the bar. As other folks here said, the staff is very attentive and approachable overall. There were recurrent checks to see if we needed anything and to replenish our water glasses. I liked the songs being played there a lot as well. After learning that there's another unit in New York, I'm definitely visiting there to see how the vibe changes when compared to the Austin one. Overall, I went there three times over the course of the week I stayed in Austin and would highly recommend. Thank you for the experience!

The food was good but everything was incredibly expensive. 22 dollars for a margarita that wasn't any different than the bar down street that was half the cost.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here and it was absolutely wonderful! The reservation was easy to make, the vibe was cozy, clean, and safe (which is a breath of fresh air compared to other places on 6th street), and the food and drinks were great!

The food was delicious! I definitely recommend trying the fries and tiramisu not only were they tasty but the portions were great as well! The fries were freshly made and came with three different sauces which were all delicious! The tiramisu was also perfectly balanced and not too sweet! The drinks I tried were the Irish rose and iced Irish coffee which were really delicious. The drinks were a bit strong but we weren’t complaining 🤭

It was also surprisingly affordable when split with a group! We each had 1-2 drinks and shared the food which ended up being about $50 per person for a group of three!

Finally, we LOVED our waiter! I forgot his name but he had a spider lily tattoo and he was one of the nicest waiters I’ve ever had! Super sweet, and if his manager is reading this review, please give him a raise 🙏 he deserves it!

This was exactly what we wanted from a pub in the middle of Texas. We'll poured Guinness and good fish and chips.

The NA Irish Coffee was amazing so we had a strong start!! However, I was just really disappointed after remembering eating the legendary burger at Dead Rabbit NYC that the burger here was just nowhere close to the same. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and it honestly came out more like well done, not juicy at all. The bun also tasted very dry. Additionally, the fries were not crispy and tasted like they had been sitting out.
The staff was super nice. I asked if they had any other types of sauces for the fries and they let us try the curry mayo which was awesome.
I was just bummed about the burger, not sure if it was just an off day in the kitchen. If that was the standard I probably wouldn’t return.

We had a great group dinner at The Dead Rabbit. The cocktails were all very delicious and the food was even better. The pot pie is hearty and the mussels were delicious.
