My wife and I had planned on trying another restaurant in this area, but they were closed early for a holiday party, so we were walking down the sidewalk to look for another place for lunch. One of the employees invited us in because they had a bunch of tvs showing football and we decided to give it a try. Definitely a good choice. The menu is all sliders and they and the fries were delicious. I had the Pinthouse beer which was also good. Staff was very friendly, checked on us, and made sure the outdoor heaters were properly positioned. Also, very dog friendly. I give this place all stars available.

We flew into Austin early on a Saturday and wanted to catch the second half of the Ohio State game. This is a great place to do that, as a local fan/alumni group makes their home here on game days in the outdoor space. They have a basic slider menu, which may just be a Saturday or game day thing, but it was fine as we just wanted a snack and split a slider order which was two sliders and fries. We chose to sit in the banquets inside and basically had our own TV, bench, and big coffee table. The bartenders were doing a good job keeping up with a steady stream of people from inside and outside. Plus - bonus - there was a bar dog! Maybe the owner's dog, I didn't investigate, but it's a gorgeous big Great Dane or Dane mix who was so sweet.

I love the vibe of this place! My first time in Austin and it was suggested to me, so I tried it. I stayed way longer than I planned to because the staff and patrons were so fun! Definitely scope it out if you can!

We’re visiting Austin and wanted to grab a quick bite so we picked The Dogwood and were very pleased. The menu is small but offers just what a person needs-high quality bar food. We had the wings and the sliders. The wings were not deep-fried but smoked instead (I believe). The wings were delicious as well as the sauces. The sliders reminded me of a Big Mac- but better. The fresh-cut fries were a perfect match.The bartender was great and the drinks were delicious.The outdoor area offers another bar as well as a stage and some bar games.Definitely would recommend this spot for a quick bite and some delicious food.
