We have known the Kinsella family for years, not long after The Emerald first opened. We use to go there as a family and with friends on St. Patrick's Day with for a number of years. Great experiences there. Many that use to go with us with have now left this world but times not forgotten. I miss this place.

As of Summer 2022, this place is permanently CLOSED. I live very close to it. They've even torn down the building to make room for something else. So it no longer exists.(But I gave it 5 stars, because I had to give it some rating to post, and it WAS good while it lasted!)

Absolutely fabulous. The food was so exquisite but the service was first class my wife and our daughters had a great experience. We will make this a regular spot for us!

We ordered some food for my grandmother's 96th birthday and the lady there was so very nice that it just blew us away. Definitely a 5-star experience!

The best place for Irish food outside of Ireland. Own by two sister that cook so perfectly that you'd think you were on the Emerald isle. Very friendly...upscale elegance with a homey environment. Wheelchair able. If you want something Irish off menu call a day ahead, they will try to make. Love this place....Austin keep this humble mom and pop restaurant alive.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary there tonight in spite of the Covid pandemic. Last week, I made a reservation for dinner and then yesterday received a call saying that they would rather not have us dine inside. Really wanting to enjoy their food, I called earlier today and asked if we could have a picnic on their lawn. She said that would be fine and I placed our order for the evening and told her we'd be there at 6:30. We arrived with our portable picnic table, china, silver, flowers, to see that they had set a lovely table for us outside. It was a lovely evening with a comfortable breeze, even though it was in the upper 90's earlier in the day. We enjoyed their onion soup, Irish bread, the County Mayo Salmon Special, The Old Sod Special, and ended the meal with their cheesecake. It was the best evening EVER! Michelle was so kind and being Flanagan's she wanted to know about my husband's lineage and mine (German and Polish). We will definitely return. I did ask if they would continue to serve outside and she said for now, 1 outside table per evening and of course take out. I would highly recommend an evening outside with some of the best food and hospitality ever.

The best Irish food outside of Ireland

We ate here for the first time a few days ago and it was by far the best Irish food we’ve ever had! The service was just as fantastic as the food and the atmosphere is so charming and full of character! We will be going back to try all of the amazing dishes drinking many Guinness’ and Irish coffees. Thank you for such a wonderful night out celebrating birthdays! ❤️

I had a very long review and it deleted.

Prix fixe Valentine's Day menu was delicious but not mentioned anywhere on the Open Table site. Based on my experience with another restaurant on a holiday, I suspect it's difficult for restaurants to note Special Menus or hours. The Prix fixe menu was the only option tonight. I enjoyed it and didn't mind paying the high price for a multi-course meal. However, 2 tables left after receiving their bread, and I suspect it was because the price surprised them.

If you are Irish, or not, you will really enjoy this place. It is authentic down to the last detail. From the chef, Marge, to the decor and even the dress of the service staff, wspecially Michelle, you'll love it. Menu items are authentic prepared by a real Irish. The menu has a great selection and priced perfectly right. You'll love the entire experience. I know I did.

I have already written this to you, however, my rating is poor because when we arrived at the restaurant for the birthday celebration, the restaurant was closed up tighter than a drum. There was no one there! This was inspite of lights, including a Xmas tree, on. I call ed the retaurant & got no answer but did leave a message. We went on to find another restaurant. About 45 minutes later a woman called from Emeralds saying she had a "quick errand" she had to do & thought she would get back before we arrived. So sorry. How many restaurants do you know that only have one person working each night!? Her explanation made no sense to us. surely, someone else would have been there. I mean there was not a soul in the restaurant! Emeralds has really gone downhill & we will NEVER go again.
