The chocolate croissant, iced matcha and vanilla latte with oatmilk was delicious! Highly recommend!

Food is fresh which is great! The shop is really cute. The staff is cheerful and helpful. Even when busy you still get your order quick. Nice area.

Friendly staff, but the coffee was the worst I've had in Austin.

Also seeing staff eat bagels on the floor during service is bizarre & unhygienic.

Good menu, decent pastries, prices are okay but coffee is quality. Good location as well. Lots of sitting area and solid WiFi.

At 8:08am on a Saturday morning (the posted hours indicate they open at 8:00am) no hello, no good morning just “you’re going to have to wait sir, we have to move this stuff - we just opened” OK - - - 30 seconds later “if you’re looking for coffee there are a couple of places along here that have it” OK, bye.

The Almond Joy is tasty. The Ginger Beer is fierce.

Incredible breakfast, a very cozy family-friendly place and excellent for having a coffee, talking with friends, since it is very quiet, the staff is attentive and willing to help you with whatever you need.

Coffee is okay, could be better. Food selection a bit too small, didn't have many pastries around noon.

Starving after a medical appointment and ducked into the Hideout for nourishment and respite. Had THE BEST HAM/GRILLED SWISS SANDWICH WITH HONEY. The ham had no slivers of fat. All succulent ham. And a chaser of fresh lemonade. The staff is sweeter than Texas tea. Jazzy relaxing Christmas instrumental music accented dangling lights . A totally peaceful vibe. If you are at Aloft Downtown, exit front door. Hang a left 1 minute away on Congress. Pass 7-11 and a few steps away on left, The Hideout. My new hang out. A variety of sandwiches/drinks/coffee. Sit on a stool and watch Austinites and visitors walk by. Or grab a cozy table and forget the rat race.

The service was subpar, the environment felt unwelcoming, and the coffee tasted unpleasant.
