Very friendly staff, treated us well. They also serve good coffee. They have an outdoor area at the back of the store so you can sit outside. The second time we were there it was raining, but there parking is in a mud area. My car got stuck in the mud, and we had mud all over our shoes and inside the car which was very frustrating. I gave them three stars because I definitely think they should invest in more proper parking. For now I don’t suggest going there unless it’s dry outside, you could have problems.

One of the best places in South Austin to work. The laid back vibe, whimsical outdoor space, and attentive staff make this place a must visit. Came here often to work on my dissertation and couldn't be more please with the change of scenery at The Hive. They're keeping it Austin Weird!

Food is gross - we stopped in for breakfast. The tacos were runny. Limited to no selections for breakfast. Won't be returning

good. The parking lot is gravel, rocks, and sand and my car was unappreciative of this fact. The vibe here is casual and relaxed, both indoors and out. Though the indoor space felt... too dark

The hive is a great place to hang out with friends, study, work, or just people watch. The coffees great and they have the cutest jewelry corner.

Loved it. First time here didn’t expect it to be a huge place. They are planning to add more food options as well in two months.Kid-friendliness: They have a dedicated area for kids to play. Pretty nit. They even considered adding kids friendly tables. Lower height. Slides, swingsAlso pet friendly

IF you are in the area, this is a great little spot to spend some time in. If not, you could probably find a decent place closer. The parking lot is gravel, rocks, and sand and my car was unappreciative of this fact. The vibe here is casual and relaxed, both indoors and out. Though the indoor space felt awkward for some reason. There's plenty of seating outside so get a seat there if the weather isn't too hot/cold. The espresso cocktail is delicious, but the all metal martini "glass" was weird. I shared an order of fries from the food truck and found them to be pretty filling. I came here for the purpose of playing Music Bingo. I stumbled across the event and had a blast. There are no signs about where it's played at which was confusing. So I had to ask a bar tender. It's played outside near, but not actually on, the little stage in the corner. I think all winners could get a free drink at the bar. I say think because I don't remember and we didn't win. And despite the losing, the game is pretty fun. I'd totally play again if this was closer. Bring your friends!

This is a very cozy spot indeed, great to get a drink (containing alcohol, or not!). I came in the evening to hang with a friend and it was a very cute, casual, and not overly busy cafe. The porch area is cute when you walk inside and the interior is bright and cozy but with an open bar area for cafe type drinks ( coffee, tea, pastries etc.) and they have an easy to order QR scan where you can order these types of drinks, or also beer/wine. When I came I had a beer with my friend and we were able to stay until 9:30ish. They didn't have a lot of "food-food" but they had a few menu options for cafe-type food items (but it's not a sit down restaurant or anything). Overall I like this little spot, it's in a nice, non-busy area which I think gives it a chill vibe.

Overpriced coffee with gross pastries. The vibe is ok and they have an open mic. Service is standard.

This is a very cute coffee and bar place. We tried the salted Carmel Brownie, AWESOME. Me wife had a fancy coffee and I had a craft beer. Service is good, good and drinks excellent. Great funky vibe for a hang out out a romantic date.

Such a fun place in South Austin. Great place to get some work done. Also solid spot to hangout with a friend or two, especially when they have events. Staff is always super friendly, in an authentic way. Love going here. Drinks are always good. I haven't really had the food much.

Local coffee shop that feels very homey every time. They have great seasonal drinks and seasonal breakfast taco options; I'm a fan of the potato, egg, and cheese. The bakery foods are great as well, especially the chocolate croissant.

I went to The Hive to Remote work. Parking was easy, there were plenty of available seats and outlets. I ordered an iced coffee, which took a little time, but wasn't excessive. The deduction in rating is honestly based on the flies. I was surprised I didn't see anyone mention them. I had a conversation with a friend after my visit and that was one of the first things they mentioned as well. I stayed maybe an hour, but it was too much for me to focus and feel comfortable. Inside and outside. You'd think it was a barbecue spot. I have no idea what that's about but this place could easily be a staple without them.

Don't think you can go study in this place like you do in other coffee shops. There aren't any soft finishes to contribute to sound attenuation purposes, this place is LOUD!!! I saw people with their books come and go, terrified by the never ending waves of preschoolers.
