Waiting for my daughter to come back into town and still had some time and I was hungry so I drove around in her area. There it was, I always heard of this place and was excited because I have always wanted to try it out. The place is a total vibe the minute you walk in. The food was good but that pork chop from that sampler OMG! It was deliciously juicy and flavored so well that the hot sauce that I poured on it was like the cherry on top! Service was a bit slow and could use more smiles but it was fair.

Came in an hour after opening, restaurant was completely empty, sat by the front talking loudly for a while nobody showed up or appeared to be there. Took our business elsewhere just seemed unprofessional, would love to come back when staff is ready.

My mom and I went today for the first time. And I am so happy we tried it out. Everything we tried was so delicious. the chicken tenders did not have heavy breading which was so nice and the Mac and cheese was delicious and had great flavor. We had the peach cobble after and my my my did we enjoy it. We will definitely be back.

I found out about The Rolling Rooster on TikTok and decided to pull up on my lunch break from Ubering (strictly for research purposes, of course). The catfish is what got me — and listen… it did NOT disappoint.
I ordered the 4 shrimp / 2 fish / 2 sides combo (fried okra + seasoned fries) and a strawberry margarita. Total was about $25, which in ATX is basically a steal. The portions? Generous. The seasoning? On point. The catfish? Crispy, flaky, and seasoned like somebody’s grandma was supervising the kitchen.
I left full, happy, and slightly considering canceling my next delivery just to sit there longer.
I’ve tried a lot of spots around Austin, but this one? It really takes the crown. Amazing food, solid portions, and quality service.
10/10. Would risk my lunch break again.

We went earlier today order 2 things of chicken and waffles one with buffalo sauce. It was my first time ever trying chicken and waffles… fried chicken 10/10 was amazing! We even got some of their kool-aid pickles the blue raz was my favorite. Wonderful experience all around and the lady in the front was super kind an amazing person all together! Definitely will be coming back.

Had this place saved for a while and finally got to check it out!! Everything was made super fresh and crispy😋& everyone was super nice and welcoming! we had some thick ahh wings and a buffalo chicken sandwich but we ate so fast I only got one picture😭 definitely coming back for more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
