I loved this place! Every time we peeked in it wasn't very full and idk why! We stopped in around 8-9 for a snack and a cocktail and it was great! My martini was fantastic, and the fries were so perfectly crispy. The inside is so cute, I loved the tiled tables and the plants. The server was so friendly and even hooked us up with a phone charger while we were there. Definitely recommend it!

This place is a vibe! The drag brunch in Sunday was one of the best I've been too in atx! Food and service is amazing! Best espresso martinis in the city! 1000% get the truffle fries!

I generally come here for brunch or lunch durning the week. I almost always have Noyme as my server, and they are phenomenal! I've had a few other women seat me and serve me before, but unfortunately I forget their names. They're all amazing tho! I love the large windows and chill vibe this building offers. Highly recommend for rainy days! Personally, I love getting a modification on their Ranchero Benedict that makes it keto friendly. It's tasty and the staff are super accommodating! Summary: Tasty food, diet friendly, amazing architecture and friendly staff.

Stepping into Second Bar & Kitchen to escape the cold was a fantastic decision. The employees were not only cool but also incredibly friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cleanliness of the place added to the overall positive experience, and I couldn't help but appreciate the well-curated music and ambiance that made the visit even more enjoyable. Second Bar & Kitchen is now my go-to spot for a cozy retreat and a cup of tea on chilly days.

Loved my margarita but it was pretty pricey. Didn't get food here. Highly recommend going to the roof top to enjoy a good view :)

I really love this place! Found it on a whim, and honestly had a magical experience that has kept me coming back again and again. Usually when I go, there's no wait! Which is so crazy to me because they have some serious yummy food, my favorite being their Brussels sprouts. Everyone of their staff is kind and I've always enjoyed my time there. The drinks at the restaurant are not as good as the drinks at the bar on the second floor (which is a very cool little space).

There are so many reasons to love this place. They have delicious, creative, and moderately priced cocktails. The happy hour savings are significant. The evolving menu always has great dishes complemented by specials. Some stand outs are the decadent crab pansotti and the seared salmon. There are several great vegetarian dishes. The pizza crust is so flavorful and perfectly baked that you won't leave any on your plate. The bartenders (Cat and Caleb) are friendly and knowledgeable. Hanging out with them is a treat. There is a large bar and dining area downstairs but even better, there is an upstairs bar and deck on the second floor. While 6th street is overrun with people waiting in lines on Saturday nights, you can easily find a table and relax here.

Came here after seeing the high reviews with my bachelorette trip group. It took 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged, and then waited another 40 minutes for some regular sandwiches? The entire place was empty, 2 small groups came in about 10 minutes after we did and they were acknowledged and served before we were. When we were debating whether to stay or leave and asked for an ETA on our food, we got asked "what's the rush?" ???? Very dissatisfied with the panini's we ordered, don't get me wrong they were okay, but not worth a 45 minute wait on a slow afternoon. I can tell they didn't care about their customer service since they know they automatically added a 22% gratuity to our checks. Never again.

Went here for brunch today. Really nice atmosphere. The service was exceptional. The food was very fresh and the presentation was awesome. I would highly recommend this place for brunch.

The fries here are to die for. Might be the best I've ever had. The aioli and Parmesan just go well together. They have a great happy hear worth checking out

Splendid food, terrific service, great atmosphere. Vintage elegance was how a friend described the atmosphere. I would say it was welcoming, peaceful, and very clean. The staff was very hospitable and the unique menu did not disappoint.

The pecan cinnamon roll is to die for. Gooey, sweet, hot, cinnamon-y goodness. Check the pics. It tastes even better than it looks if that's possible. I have a feeling their brunch is about to take off since it's a fairly new addition to the east side and they are reasonably priced. Their eggs Benedict and blueberry French toast were also delicious. We enjoyed the side of hash brown cakes too. We arrived at 10:30 for an early brunch and it wasn't busy yet, so we had our pick of tables. The AC was great considering the summer heat. They also have a patio and bar area. Service was good and we enjoyed our visit.

I love East Austin Hotel! The aesthetic of this large space is so charming, and eclectic. There's a restaurant down stairs that has such tasty bites, a pool & pool bar & a rooftop bar - you literally don't have to leave if you didn't want to! There's options for a cheaper room with a shared bathroom - similar to a more relaxed stay, or they have traditional rooms/suites like at a traditional hotel! Located in the perfect spot of East Austin, we had such an easy time checking out other bars/restaurants around the area. 100% only staying here when I'm in downtown Austin!

Absolutely love the vibe of this establishment! From the staff, to the style of the rooms and 3... yes 3 bars on site.... There was honestly no reason to go downtown! We could have stayed at the Hotel and had a lot more fun. The Second Bar+Kitchen was our favorite of all three! We had the avocado toast and the huevos rancheros! They did not disappoint! Next time we plan a trip to Austin, we will without a doubt be staying here! Do yourself a favor and visit East Austin Hotel!

This was definitely a middle of the road experience for my husband and I. It wasn't the best place we've ever stayed, and it wasn't the worse either.Overall, pretty clean and a neat aesthetic. We checked for bed bugs and found none. The toilet and sink areas were also clean as well as the bed sheets (but I did find a small dark stain on one of the covers). The room had a neat retro vibe to it with what looked like some original features from the 60s. We felt like we'd taken a trip back in time which was kind of cool. The outdoor areas were welcoming and well maintained (no trash, cool plants, etc). A very trendy place for sure! As previously mentioned in the comments, the bathroom in the room is not entirely private. The walls surrounding the bathroom do not reach the ceiling, so everything can be heard and potentially smelled. The carpets are old and worn. The bathroom tile in the shower is dirty (what's supposed to be white grout is actually blackish in color), but they do provide complimentary used shower sandals. The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear people above walking around and all the street traffic pretty loudly. Unfortunately, the most unpleasant part of our stay that we never quite adjusted to was the strong smell of mildew/mold. An overpowering plug-in air freshener was used to cover up the smell, but it didn't help. Hope this review helps an interested patron have all the information to make an informed decision. There's nothing like knowing exactly what to expect (the good and the bad).
