In Austin, was feeling some fancy cocktails and snacks one night. Decided to come to the RR and definitely happy we did. No reservation meant we had to sit in the upstairs bar, where the cocktail list is a bit smaller (though still significant). There was a bachelorette party when we went and it was very Texy, but overall the spot was dark, classy, diverse, with foreign films being silently screened on the wall. I love the bar's aesthetic--hip and classy but casual--and the extensive cocktail list includes a number of historical drinks through the ages as well as house creations. I opted for the Roosevelt Room Old Fashioned, which, with its branded ice cube, was a beautiful presentation. One of my companions opted for a dirty vodka martini; the other for the Cigar Box, which wins pretty much all cocktail presentation forevermore. All drinks were incredibly tasty, and the service was spectacular as well. Because we came for snacks, too, we...well, we went a little crazy. The sumac and pepper popcorn was my favorite. Perfectly popped with enough flavor to keep me coming back for more. I love popcorn. We also ordered the sweet & spicy nuts, which were, unsurprisingly, delicious. The seasonal pickle plate was another winner for me. If you pickle it, I will eat it. More traditional pickled veg (think sweet peppers, beets, etc) plated up next to pickled strawberries and blackberries--genius. Loved this as well. We also ordered the potato pancakes, which were good, but not my favorite dish here. Lastly, we got the salade verte, which I really enjoyed--but a word to the wise: the shallot in this sucker is going to make your breath horrible. All in all, this was a great spot to experience. If I lived in Austin, I don't think I would come by often, but it's definitely a great locale for when you're feeling fancy drinks in a fun, casually classy environment.

Staff are hands down the best drink makers in the city. Just be prepared to navigate in the dark if you go during the day.... The ambiance is classy and dark inside.

If you want a quite relaxing evening or spend an evening with adult family members and friends or even to celebrate an occasion in Austin, Texas, I highly recommend The Roosevelt Room.My best friend made a reservation for four of us a week ago.We were welcomed at the entrance by a young girl with a smile on her face and seated at a convenient table at the corner. The ambience is good. It is little dark creating a relaxing atmosphere with nice music. The menu is quite large with several varieties of drinks and food. The staff are very friendly and gave excellent service.Especially our waitress Ms. Hanna is a very enthusiastic young lady with excellent knowledge of the food and drinks. She has a smile in her face all the time. Very attentive to the needs of the customers and suggests appropriate food and drinks as per the taste buds of the guests. We bing vegetarians and one person being a teetotaler, we could use Ms. Hanna's help and totally satisfied with the service and the quality and quantity of the food. Please don't forget to ask for Zombie a rum blend mixed with other fine ingredients and served in a Zombie skull mug decorated and comes with two straws enabling a couple to drink simultaneously from the same mug.The Zombie is presented to the guest with rising flames created with cinnamon powder.Don't forget to taste warm olives. Very delicious.(Wish they are pitted).Humus and pita, popcorn are two other delicious dishes.Highlight is the ZOMBIE for sure.I highly recommend Roosevelt Room inaustin for both vegetarians, Vegetarian Plus, teetotalers and those who enjoy alcoholic beverages. If you are satisfied with the service, don't forget to thank the staff and waitresses and waiters.I sure thanked them. Thanked my friend for booking in advance.Bon Apetite.Vegetarian options: Garlic HummusMarinated OlivesSumac and Pepper Popcorn

Wow what can I say?! An absolute must experience in ATX!! This bar is truly wonderful. Make reservations! The drink menu is HUGE. Filled with tons of options for everyone. It's a quaint, classy bar that reminds me of an old speakeasy. Playing on the wall were old classic movies like Citizen Kane. Loved this feature of the bar. It was SLAMMED on Thursday when we went, but our waitress, Hannah, was on her game! This girl was amazing, y'all. She gave us the best recommendations and was so incredibly knowledgeable of every single drink on the menu. Really impressive. Here's everything we got: -Another Drink in the Well -Jingu Bang -Buck to the Future -Cigar Box -Milk Punch -Pink Squirrel -Espresso Martini All were divine! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had! I would go back here every week if I lived in ATX.

I'm not one to write negative reviews, especially about cars. Odd service. Sat us (party of 3) upstairs ("more casual vibe", per the host) after a 15 minute wait outside. Walked past plenty of empty tables downstairs. When upstairs, you have to go to the bar to order and pick up your drinks. This would be fine if they were well drinks or actual seats at the bar. Instead, it causes unnecessary traffic at the bar of people waiting to order, waiting for their drinks, or waiting to close out their tab. The host also tried to sit a party of 8 at a table for 6. Would've appreciated the cool atmosphere more if there was table service and seated in the main room (again, plenty of tables and bar seating). Our one round of drinks were good.

4.5 stars. Roosevelt Room is the perfect date night spot if you love a good cocktail. It's dim lit and decorated with velvet couches and funky art which makes for the perfect vibe. When you first walk in they have all of their awards on the wall for top cocktail bar basically like every year, and I can certainly see why! I loved our waiter he was very attentive and made us some off menu drinks specific to what we were feeling. I feel like all of the speakeasies that I've been to lately had strict time policies and I really liked that Roosevelt Room did NOT rush us out. We stayed for quite some time because the drinks were well made. Loved it!

Outstanding gem on 5th St. in downtown Austin with classic and creative cocktails, and an excellent small bites menu. The staff is friendly, and offers suggestions for craft cocktails. A great place for date night or a drink after work.

Can't say enough good things about our experience. Initially made a reservation for six, but thirty minutes prior to our scheduled arrival, our number ballooned to eleven. Texted with The Roosevelt Room and they were able to accommodate our late minute adjustment flawlessly. Kudos to their team for handling the situation and making our experience one to remember. Highly recommended. Great atmosphere, great cocktails, and wonderful staffing.

We love the Roosevelt room as a place for special occasions! I came here with a couple of my friends who had never been here before and they were astonished by the sheer volume of cocktails that were available to the point that it was almost too overwhelming to choose. Luckily our waitstaff was so great. He asked for our favorite flavor profiles and gave us very good recommendations!

One of the best bars I've ever been to. Our bartender was very knowledgeable and skilled without any of the pretentiousness that sometimes comes along with those qualities. Unfortunately we don't remember his name, but he looked part Asian. Him and every staff member we interacted with were very professional. Oh yeah, and every drink he tried was phenomenal
