This place is my favorite bar in all of Austin & I've been in this city since 08. The burgers & dogs are 🔥 plus the booze isn't over price. The best part about this place is the staff, super friendly & laid back. You gotta come here if you like burger's!
I've been coming here for 2 years now so I am a little bias.

The place itself is meh. Men's restroom toilet has a leaking wax seal therefore causing the men's restroom to smell like raw sewage. After waiting an extended period 30 to 40 minutes. While no one else had food request numbers on their table. They immediately rushed it out once I stood up and stated I was leaving. Asked for an itemized receipt before I paid my total bill. As anyone should. Didn't receive such rather than a kitchen ticket with chicken scratch on it. I refused to pay for a meal of which had an extended wait and had I already announced my departure. And of course the bank statement didn't match the "correction." Any professional working a bar knows what's shown below is NOT an itemized statement. The bartender herself has a bad talking problem. IE going to familiar friends and faces. And completely ignoring others who didn't fit her agenda. There was a sick cat running around. Hopping all over the bar and tabletops.
Health department is definitely going to hear about this "nice" little bar.

Tonight I could tell I visibly wasn't the only upset customer. The bartender needs to quit talking and ignoring new customers over regulars. Not to mention the cat on the bar flicking hairs off in to everyone's drinks.
Can't become a regular to get an "elite" service it seemed everyone got around me. If I can't even have a good experience to begin with.

Hidden gem. Some of the best burgers and patty melts you can find at a dive bar. We also got the frito pie and it did not disappoint. Not the fanciest joint, but great food and beer. The place is small and quaint but that’s just part of its charm.

Silver Medal is a perfect dive. Outside of good prices, good food, and cold drinks, I never know what I’m going to get when I go here. And that makes things so fun. Will OC the cat be there? What kind of crowd today? What movie will be on the tv? What music will be playing? Heavy metal or hip hop? There’s also lots of outdoor seating and a somewhat raggedy but functioning well enough pool table

Fantastic low-key dive bar right off the highway. We just so happened to stay a little over a mile away and decided to give this place a try. We got lucky and went on two for one hotdog night. They were delicious so we came back for burgers the next night. Top notch. Great back patio. Owner was super cool and engaging. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a good stop to make. You can get a cheeseburger AND a chili dog with a bud heavy for $12!

This place is exactly like it wants to be. The food is good, the beer is beer, and it can take a while to place an order, but who cares. Great bar without the pretense of "new" Austin vibes.
Delicious food with their own unique style in an unsuspecting location. Hard to beat

A true dive bar with a wonderful staff and stiff pours. We didn't eat, but friends say the cheese burger and hot dogs are great and are featured in a regular special.

Food is decent but the bar staff was trash; only one beer opener who just talked extensively to other customers/friends, so it took about 15 mins to get an order in; with less than 10 customers. Might just be the vibe. some other guy eventually came to fulfill orders while the original bartender took smoke breaks and talked.

Had the worst experience here with the rudest bartender I've ever seen she was drunk and I hope she goes to rehab....
